Acquaintances told me about this place so I went for a visit. I was not disappointed. Everyone there is deaf and communicates through sign language or small notes. The servers are genuinely happy that you are there as this provides them with meaningful employment. A...More

Hello Happy Traveller Just read your review of the Reaching Out Arts and Crafts Shop and am pleased that you found both of our locations. Our silent tea house has met with great success. The world is ready to cross the bridge between the hearing...More

We had delicious tea and cookies—but mostly enjoyed the peace and quiet here. The employees are all hearing/speech impaired, and the menu asks that everyone whispers! It was a much-needed break from the decibel level I found in most of Hoi An!

So glad that you enjoyed the tranquility of our tea house and had our delicious local teas and homemade cookies.

We had tea here and loved the interior and the cookies- kind enough to tell us what was vegan. Live the idea of communication with the hearing impaired.

Our hearing and speech impaired staff love the opportunity to connect with the hearing world and inviting you into their silent world.

Really nice atmosphere, and the concept is great! You fill in a form for your tea and use wooden cubes with words on the communicate with the staff, who are very friendly. The tea tasting set is nice too.

Being a tea lover, it wasn't long before I found this amazing place. Just love the shop concept with such meaningful mission. I ordered tea tasting set and I just loved the serving. Highly recommend the experience and showing support to hearing and speech impaired.

This teahouse is a little haven in the busy heart of Hoi An's Old Town. It's a traditional tea house, stocking fairtrade teas and coffees, which also doubles as a social enterprise as it is staffed by local deaf people. You'll be given a pad...More

We made sure we found this awesome cafe after visiting a similar place in Cambodia. Delightful staff, wonderful coffee and freshly baked biscuits. Take the time to visit, it is a peaceful oasis in a very busy town.

Hello Mark So nice to hear "best tea/coffee experience of our holiday". Our gracious servers have trained hard to bridge the gap between their silent world and that of their hearing customers. They also make the sweet treats in our own kitchen with care.

Husband and I passed by and we’re drawn in by the whole tea atmosphere and the quiet terrace to enjoy tea. Soon we realized that all the staff were deaf. They do an amazing job and we are so happy we came in.

Our Tea House is in Old Town, where, as you know no cars are allowed and motorbikes restricted. The easiest way, we find is to get a taxi to An Hoi and walk over the bridge. sure hope your parents can visit us
