Visited Morning Glory with my wife and teenage son. The ambience is amazing. Food is cooked in an oval ‘kitchen’ immediately in front of the entrance in the ground floor so diners downstairs can witness the full on hustle and bustle of an extremely busy...kitchen along with all the sounds and aromas that go with it. We actually sat upstairs as it was a little cooler (and quieter) but the surroundings are no less pleasant. Very French colonial. My wife and I ordered sautéed prawns in coconut. The menu explains that the dish is served in the whole shell of a young coconut with the flesh still present but we still couldn’t fail to be impressed when our meals arrived. There were a good number of large prawns in the dish and the whole was full of flavour. Our son has the grilled pork belly with The pork was, as is not unusual with pork belly, rather fatty (but this is what carries the flavour) but the meat was delicious and the sauce a perfect compliment. We all shared a dish of ‘roll your own’ pork spring rolls which came with a rice paper wrap, rice flour roll, lettuce, unripened banana and a satay style dip, along with a plate of ‘regular’ rice flour spring rolls and stir fried morning glory. Gorgeous. Absolutely not the cheapest restaurant in Hoi An, I felt the beer was a little overpriced for the area at £2.50? for a bottle of Tiger but the overall experience with the quality of the meal makes it very much worth the price and it’s still massively cheaper than the U.K. Three of us ate as above with just the one desert (slightly mashed frozen banana with coconut cream poured over) with 2 beers, 2 juices and an iced lemon tea for around £40.00.More
Went here on a Friday evening. Restaurant is located by the bridge in the heart of Hoi An. Very crowded area during the evenings and restaurant affords great views of the action. We had a table on the third floor with great views of the...river. Food and cocktails excellent, but not the cheapest in town.More
A must go to restaurant in old town in Hoi An. Reach early to avoid disappointment as the place gets busy in the evenings and starts winding down from 9pm. We tried rose dumplings, roasted chicken, grilled fish, caramelised pork with eggs, chicken rice, mango...juice and creme caramel. Each one out did the other and complimented one another. The taste was amazing, the portions were generous and the service quite prompt. the prices are also quite reasonable given the stature and the service of the restaurant. Overall a great experience and a must recommended one if you want to check out a gourmet delight in Hoi AnMore
We entered and we were immediately greeted by Le. She was welcoming and explained the dishes to us. My partner eats everything and am vegetarian. So I asked what would be a signature dish for Hoi An, Le explained that we should try the Cao...Lao! We were completely blown away with the food! It was delicious and we even had the vegetarian option! It was so good and we have decided to come back tonight for dinner!More
One of our best meal in Hoi An. Non pretentious, unlike some tourist trap around the old town area. Price is on the high side for local standard but definitely well worth it. We tried chicken rice, jack fruit salad, cao lao, grilled fish with...egg plant as side (this dish was superb, fish was really fresh!), pancake, stir fried morning glory and desserts. All dishes were awesome. Cif was our server for the evening and she was really friendly and professional. Hope to be backMore
We chose to eat here as it had good reviews on trip advisor and it didn’t disappoint. I had fish cooked in a banana leaf. It was lovely. (See photo) we had crispy spring rolls, dim sums ( which were delightful) and a few other...things to try. We were sat outside on the rooftop with a great view of the hustle and bustle of the town below which is lit up with lanterns everywhere.More
This place was recommended to us by our hotel and didn't disappoint. The food we ordered was the crab wontons followed by the pork crispy pancakes followed by banana ice cream. Heavenly.
An outstanding spot and some of the best Vietnamese food we had while in Hoi An. We went in the recommendation of a friend and the venue didn't disappoint. We hadn't booked but there was no wait on arrival, even though the place was packed....Clearly a popular venue for what looked mainly like tourists, but that didn't deter us. And don't let it deter you. Everything we had was exceptional but the fish in banana leaf was a real winner. Can't say we've ever had fish that tasty. The spring rolls were crispy and rolled to perfection, plus the pork belly special just fell away from the bone. The service, too is exceptional with fast efficiency all round. The food arrived quick, drink orders fulfilled and plates cleared. Our server, Tiêñ deserves special mention. Her English was great and she made sure we were well looked after, even showing us how to properly roll the wraps without making us feel like useless tourists! Overall an amazing experience. They give you a discount if you come back but you won't need a reason not to.More

Outstanding food - we ended up eating here most nights. Loi was an absolute star and treated us like royalty. Staff are all amazing and the deep fried red snapper is possibly my favorite meal of our trip. Highly recommend
Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service for a great price. Lan was a wonderful and attentive waitress that provided fantastic recommendations.
Amazing place to go for dinner, with really good local dishes. The waitress Lan was really kind with us and the service was perfect. It’s a must go if you stay in Hoi An.
Visited Morning Glory Original as part of tour group during May 2023. Picturesque location. Food choices and quality excellent. Hien B was our server and she and her team provided great service! Great experience :-)
Lovely authentic Vietnamese food. The restaurant was comfortable and air-conditioned. Our server Hien was very helpful and attentive, even demonstrating how to roll spring roll.
