A very beautiful place. Located in a house more than 200 years old.. Great collection of wines and picadas. Must visit!

Nice atmosphere, good wine, excellent snacks (sausages and cheese) to start the night. We were two couples and had a great time there. Book it in advance.

The atmosphere is great, the staff is just so nice and friendly, and the picadas and the wine were awesome. The price was also really fair. Finding this restaurant was one of the highlights of my trip.

It´s such a nice place to eat. It's very peculiar and cozy. Service was great, the staff tried to attend all our needs. We had cake and a bottle of Moscato, wich were all good.

We love our wines so it was great to find the cutest little wine bar in the historic part of Colonia that serves local wines by the glass. The building is perfect with its low door frame and low ceilings and stone walls. Feels like you're walking into a cellar. We were there after lunch and the kitchen was already... More

I went with my boyfriend twice, once in 2014 (May) and then in 2016 (February). The second time, portions were substantially smaller and the price a litter higher. Anyway, it is a great place to have something to eat and drink a good wine. A peaceful, quiet place where you can also buy local cheese and wine. I recommend it.

Cute little place that is good but not great. The wine servings are generous and good selection to chose from. The accompanying tasting plate was average however the saving grace was the onion relish which we purchased to take home. The service was okay. Was pleasant the first time, would recommend but wouldn't go back for seconds. In summary met... More

So I did the cliche lonely planet suggestion place to eat "Beun Suspiro". It's probably the first restaurant you come across if walking from the port. They only take visa (min $500 u peso) or cash. I went to ATM and got cash and came back. GLAD I DID!!! the waiter suggested the lasagna and it was the best I've... More

If you want to taste good Uruguayan wine, this is the place for you. And if you go here: buy something good, ask the kind hosts for their personal favorite, and sit back and relax. Me and a friend of mine went there late one rainy night, were greeted in the door, and got a cozy table in this hard-to-find... More

Here you can try the local wine along with local cheese and meats. Not suitable for a full meal, but good for snack and very atmospheric.

We offer a local cuisine based on the best artisanal products of Colonia, in the most emblematic street of the old quarter of Colonia del Sacramento, the “Barrio Sur”, a World Heritage site, in a typical house of Portuguese construction of early 1700s. Wines of local vineyards, artisanal cheeses, homemade jams, olive oil, spirits, grappas, and typical pastries are part of the menu, to take or to taste at the store. Whether in a small and intimate room or at the courtyard, you can taste different appetizers based on a selection of artisanal local cheeses served with sweet and sour sauces, combined with salami, sausages, ham, vegetable tarts, and chicken brochette. In winter, homemade soups of onion or pumpkin; in summer, salads.
