Unlike some other people here I don't have any bad words to write about this place. However, I can't say anything good either - it was all just average, nothing worth remembering here. Food was tasty but rather pricy which probably makes sense, seeing that it's located so near to the main... read more

This looked like such a nice place to have a good lunch. The location was superb, right in the main historic center of Colonia. The food was seriously the worst that I had in eight days in Uruguay. If you like a tough piece of meat combined with indifferent service, then this place is for you. The only reason why... More

Awful service rude customers! Hope you wake up and realize it's your business you are running into the ground and no one else. Food I wouldn't feed to my dogs

We had a server named Alljeandro who was the worst server I've ever encountered and I've been in food and beverage my whole life which as a whole in Argentina and Uruguay is awful as far as service is concerned but this guy set the 0 on the 0-10 scale. I ordered two bottle of water and two of the... More

PLEASE READ THIS! Do NOT go to this place! Chose this place as it had 2 TripAdvisor signs on two doors and thought it had been recommended by them. Old building. Outside tables covered with unbrellas. Inside smallish room with setting for about 20-30 max. Decor - rustic. Airconditioned - not really - very warm. Once seated and looking around... More

We loved the waiters here: one was an immigrant from Mexico who told us how much he loves Uruguay. I have to agree with him! The service was so friendly and the food just fine and the location on the plaza is perfect.

It has an enviable location on a beautiful square in the old town, but the predatory pricing, and worst of all, the dirty, horrible food and the callousness of the manager and staff make it the worst place I've been to in a very long time. I ordered a chicken chop-suey and asked for it to be light on the... More

We took a day trip to Colonia from Montevideo and we are sorry we did. The town is over hyped as a World Heritage Site. The lady we spoke to in the tourist office was fantastic. She took time to explain the town and the national dish of Colonia, the Chirvito. We only had 3 hours to spend in Colonia... More

I ordered a typical uruguayan meat, but it was chewy. The same occurred with my trip partners. The attendance was very pleasant, but the most important, the food, didn't help!

We just stopped by for a casual lunch. We had a pork meal and a ravioli. The food was actually excellent, including the dessert. But the bill was inflated more than 30% (DTO, IVA, and some more) from the original price. I was kind of naive about everything here without knowing the local customs or much Spanish capability, so I... More
