I would lie if I said I didn’t think their appetisers were their main course too because the portion sizes were just TOO GOOD! What I ordered: 1️⃣ Salmon Poké Bowl (AED 54) - Sushi turned inside out 🤓 the veggies were fresh (loveddddd the...fresh avacado) salmon absolutely scrumptious & rice was perfect Japanese style. 2️⃣ Spicy Tempura Prawns (AED 42) - your regular dose of dynamite prawns but even better and served warm. Came with a side of fresh-cut salad 🤤 3️⃣ Tomato Burrata (AED 45) - now this was the first newest item I had ever tasted before. I didn’t know what to expect and I was sweetly surprised at how NOT tangy the cheese was. Really loved the fact I could take more bites coz if you know me you’d know I can’t do sour. 😒 this was perfect!!!!! The cherry tomatoes were fresh🎉 ~MAIN COURSE~ The main courses are easily customisable. Add or subtract anything as you like. & again, I was so impressed by the portion sizes. It’s not like you paid 100s for a kids’ meal. 😁 What I ordered: 1️⃣ Penne Chicken & Mashroom in Pink sauce (AED 57): served with 2 garlic bread slices- the sauce was really well mixed & cheese melts together perfectly !! 2️⃣ Mediterranean Pizza (AED 49) : this is the second item that I tried for the first time ever. Really liked the sundried tomatoes & shrimp topped with freshhh basil! The cheese was also lite, not too heavy and it made every bite so delicious. 🤩 ~The Drinks~ You have everything in the menu from #mojitos🍹 to #coffee to #soda What I ordered - 1️⃣ Peach Delight 🍸 (AED 32) :- I’m not a very big fan of crushed ice in drinks so this was served perfectly with just ice cubes 🧊☺️ expected peachy flavour, refreshing! 2️⃣ White Chocolate Mocha (AED 27) :- your regular mocha served cold & topped with #whippedcream 🤗 3️⃣ Creamy Vanilla Latte (AED 24) :- I looooveeeee vanilla lattes 🙃 so delicious, served cold, thirst quenched ✨ ~Desserts~ Finally the mouth watering deserts that I’m so humbled to be writing about 🤩 What I ordered- 1️⃣ Dates Pudding served with Vanilla Ice Cream (AED25) : 3rd item I tried for the first time! the first bite threw me off as I don’t really like #toffeeflavour .. but as soon as went in for a second bite....... it became third.... fourth.... fifth and then there was nooo going back 😂😂😂 I LOVED IT! The strawberries & icecream is really there to compliment he toffee & dates flavour and it enhances it soo damn well 🤤🤤 definitely try this! 2️⃣ Triple Chocolate Cheesecake (AED 33) : so creamy, well-blended, the Oreos as the crust, and a lovely birthday wish to @ahmedeys.ix - perfect ✨ Thank you SO MUCH team @puro_uae for having me over and for your kind hospitality. The serving is amazing, everything comes one after the other so you can truly enjoy each section and have a wonderful time with your loved ones! 🤗🤗More

We were happily welcomed to at restaurant by the staff (Sam). The food was amazing and came on time. The ambience too is a plus. You should definetly try out the poke bowl.

Dropped in here on an early morning and the place is nicely done. A simple cafe with a beautiful outdoor deck that would be good in the winter months. Unfortunately, I was unable to try any of that because there are no vegetarian options on...the breakfast menu. Not even one. Every single one has eggs in it and when I asked the waitstaff to check if the chef could help me out, they politely came back with that they couldn’t. So I left. It’s 2020. You can make avocado toast, pancakes, serve fruit, beans and juice, and you would serve a vegetarian. It’s not rocket science.More

Only called to reserve a table for 2 and the operator over the phone was the most rude person I have ever communicate with. She was so arrogant, she said “and I an quoting” :- We don’t have any reservations for October, your first chance...would be Monday November 2nd. When I told her it is a working day and of course I cannot make it, she replied “ Thats your problem”. Just a phone call less than 2 minutes made up my mind about the whole place, it seems the publicity they got made them arrogant. Thank you so much You dont deserve my money. Advise to the crowd Arrogance has no cure Dont wast you money with such bad service.More

A visit to the Puro Express Jabel Jai and we are looking to the photo attached with the deals of the month - and very happy because it is Saturday and every Saturday there's a 25% discouNT. I asked my order and paid - I...looked at the bill and I don't see the discount. I politely ask for the obvious mistake to be corrected and for my big surprise they told me that the deal was not for Jebel Ali but for their main branch . That was not the advertised and really tricks the guests!!! It's a shame - very very bad. The explanation from the staff was not professional and they just didn't care. Another event : the guest in front of me asked for an ice-cream . Ice cream was given and the lady tried to pay with the only payment method she had, card, she was informed that only cash was accepted. She had to give the ice cream back and no solution given. Very very bad again specially in this Covid 19 times where card payments are incentvized. Very bad again and a shame. Will never return again. On a positive note - the view was very nice and Coca-Cola was good.More

We visited yesterday evening and were most pleasantly surprised. Stunning view and modern yet comfortable setting. The food is delicious with a unique twist - wonderful Fritto Misto, exceptional Pizza Tartuffo, Risotto a bit bland however. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. In one...word, a wonderful place to spend the evening.More

Puro is curiously located on the outskirts of Al Marjan Island, moments away from Al Hamra with its Hilton and Waldorf Hotels. It’s inconspicuous, positioned inside what resembles an office or government building. You would need to know it is there (third floor via elevator)....There are two dining areas including a deli-like section revealed when you arrive in the elevator offering items also to take away (perhaps for the neighbouring office workers?). The crown jewel is the floor-to-ceiling window facing outside uninterrupted across the ocean and beaches of Ras Al Khaimah. And now you realise why you came here. This is a beautiful view in a simply decorated room with neutral colours restrained to frame the azure coast line. If this terrace is open during the cooler months, this is an enviable location for a Mediterranean restaurant channeling the scenery and vista that tourists flock to see. The menu is Mediterranean leaning menu replete with nods towards those classic favourite like mushroom risottos, lasagna, chicken Milanese, Greek salad and Caesar salads. Certain dishes are a strain on the Mediterranean concept such as chicken tikka or paneer wraps and smoked salmon. Nonetheless, the theme is clear and delivered. I ordered the Suppli and Nicoise Salad: classic dishes from different regions in the Med. The Suppli course is generously portions especially as an appetiser; three Suppli about the size of a medium Maris Piper potato arrive each topped with a different sauce: tomato, grated cheese (unclear which) and a pesto smear. This could be a main course if served with a small salad which, for 35 dhs, is a steal. The Suppli is crunchy but a little stodgy which is to be expected. Each is also stuffed with cheese (unclear which kind). It is a heavy dish and one that could easily be shared as a starter. The Nicoise Salad is made with canned tuna, fresh leaves, potato, mild but tangy capers, hard boiled quail eggs (nice touch), white onion, green beans and french dressing. This is also a decent salad size, nicely dressed and well presented. For 45 dhs, this is also very reasonable. The tuna is steaky and the whole dish works well together to balance the acidic elements with a creamy french dressing that pulls things together. It is not an ostentatious or luxurious Niçoise salad but at this price point it is a good bowl and would be interesting to see if it is available for takeaway if you live/work in the local area as a healthy light bite. The service was attentive but I was also the only person here so what would you expect! Would I come back? This is interesting. The price point is competitive, the view is nostalgic of Italy (save for the car park below) and the food is good while not pushing any culinary frontiers not surrendering to the trappings saturated in the hotels nearby. If I was in RAK I would come back to try some of their other main courses and come for dinner. Zomato suggests it has a full bar: white wine, Mediterranean food and a view? I’ll be back. But it’s important to note that this not a fancy place: it’s a good lunch spot. #mediterranean #salad #health #pasta #views #licensedMore
