There we were in Al Ain mall searching for a good place to have some good Indian food. The restaurant is quite difficult to spot at the first time. The ambience is good. We ordered briyani, kebab , butter naan and butter chicken. The kebab...was OK and the Briyani was not bad although not as like we had read the reviews. The butter naan had literally become a crispy bread ..more like a papad. The butter chicken was edible. The service I must say was not at all up to the mark. The server forgot to give us dinner plates and and when we were almost over with our food, he hurriedly brought in the onion salad, admitting that he had forgot to serve us the item. Overall I must say I was dissapointed with food and service.More
Royal Mughal located in Alain Mall serves excellent Indian cuisine. It has nice ambience n very courteous staff who are very helpful in selection of dishes. Potions are good too n there is good selection on menu. Fish kebab, chicken biryani , mixed kebabs, butter...chicken, Masala Okra (bhindi), shahi paneer are all very yummy n recommended. Worth the price. Restaurant Manager is extremely helpful n makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommended for an enjoyable meal. Definitely worth repeating experience.More
Went for dinner at royal mughal Al AIN mall and fully enjoyed the food.
We ordered 2 chicken dishes and 1 veg dish and 1 dal and roti, parantha, Mahalawy khulcha
Dal was okay but the rest of the food was very tasty.
The bill...was within 150 for 6 people so not expensive.
We all enjoyed the meal.More
Stayed in Al ain for 3 days and was looking for a place to dine out. Checked some reviews and decided to visit this place as it was closer to our hotel.
Must say that with the mixed reviews I read, our experience was very...nice.
We went there on weekdays so not very crowded and were welcomed with smiles all over.
The chicken lollipop and seekh kebab were fantastic which we tried on our first visit.
As we liked the food so much, we went there for our dinner the next 2 days as well.
The other dishes we tried were the butter chicken, pahadi kebab's as well as daal tadka and they all tasted good. The only mention would be they werent spicy enough for our liking so we asked them to make it spicy after our first visit.
Will go there again for sure.More
Positive side: clean restaurant, staff very attentive. Food was tasty. Good portion.
Can be better: chutneys and pickles came without spoon . On request , spoon were given but disposable ones. No cloth napkins , instead paper tissues were on table. Even in cafe, food...is served by staff but here we served food for ourself from containers.More
Visited a few days back. The staff were courteous. The service was also prompt. Butter Chicken was good and the paratha and naan were nice. Didn't quite enjoy their Chicken Diwani Biryani. The Manager was concerned enough to ask about our experience.
Although the restaurant was not very crowded, the service was horrible, slow and not very promissing. We kept on waiting until they cleaned the table for us. So I've noticed that they don't clean the tables once the customers leave, they actually leave them dirty...until a new customer comes in! Awkward.
There was no complimentary items like dips and papadum, which we usually get in other restaurants. We waited for a long time until they brought our appetizer that is after we rang the bell to ask about our order.
The items we ordered were about average tasting or even lower than average comparing to other Indian restaurants.
I would say there was not much variety on the menu!
In addition the staff working in the restaurant were very loud and noisy.
Overall it was a bad experience, which I'm sure I won't try again.More
