I was recommended cinbal over Lebessos and personally regretted it. The meat was fresh and good but for me having to cook my own food on a bbq in 30 plus heat was too much. I'm sure that in a larger group on a cooler...evening Cinbal would be great but for us looking for a cosy meal it missed the mark.More

We have been going to this restaurant for the past 8 years, and have always really enjoyed our visits. It's a shame that the service seems to have gone downhill rather rapidly, our waiter was at times quite abrupt when we could get any service...that is. The food was as excellent as usual, however, this poor service puts be off going back.More

Awesome restaurant and well worth a visit if you are looking for traditional Turkish cuisine. Simple case of selecting your meze’s and meat and they bring it to you with a barbecue to cook yourself. I was in heaven! Very reasonably priced. Great location to...walk the food off by strolling through the small village afterwardsMore

This self-catering grill house has a wide cozy garden and the tables are not so close each other so we can easily say that this place is really eligible for long dinners. The restaurant serves you several types of lamb, beef, chicken and vegetable grills...as per your order and also you can try natural yoghurt and any fresh veggie salads from the menu. A wide range of drinks are available in the menu.More

We were family of 18, food was good,we were grilling ,the ladies asked for tea,it took long time, than when we served them the meat, they asked for drink Ayran 2 times, never came, our waiter was so busy, couldn't find him, I went to the...nearest waiters, that they were sitting chatting on their phone, I asked them politely , he waived with his hand to ask someone else, I asked him plz we need our drink, he again waived to go away with no respect at all, than I told him if u care for this rest. u should help instead of playing with ur phone,he stood up and pushed me with both hands'I screamed at him, than all my cousins stood up and came over, than I asked for the mngr,my waiter came and calm me down and said I am the mngr, he was nice, but def.not the mngr,we kept on eating, my cousin wanted a dessert, my nice waiter took me to the fridge to show me what they hv,i noticed the rude waiter sitting with smirk on his face, I went to him nicely and ask him why did u do that, he is like early 20's and I'm 60 as old as his father i said to him in a very nice way, u should b nice to ur customers and help your rest. for a good service , he stood up and pushed me again hard, I had a drink in my hand and I threw it at him, all the servers and our waiter came in between us and calm us down,i told him shame on you, and I turned to go back to my table, than he came running and hit me with his fist on the back of my neck near my ear, turned around and he grabbed my shirt and teared it apart, they separated us, one person came with long beard wearing a black shirt, tried to calm things down, but he acted like nothing happened, few guys took side of the rude waiter, and wanted to fight us, i didn't want to make a seen, as I had family members that are there for a wedding and older cousins, went back to the Hotel and called the police, , they didn't do anything, they don't even speak English,,which they told me to call the janderma( local police),my cousin was trying to calm me down not to call them, the owner of the Hotel came up to talk to me,he was very angry, he wanted to go up himself and beat the guy,we had 4 full hotels for the wedding, and all very nice people, long story short, the guy came down and apologise to me and my guests like a rat, my point is where were the manager, owner of the place, no one showed up to apologise,i gave the boy my teared shirt and told him to give it to his parents and show them what kind of kid they raised , Shame on you, this things are happening a lot in Turkey, they are not friendly with tourists, some are and most are not, we go there to help the economy and the people, but for sure they don't deserve it, i know they are very nice people, and I met few, but they are more not nice at all, and that's out of my many times visiting this country ,and def. myself and my guests, when we came back we said this is our last time there. Shame on you the way you treat tourists who come to enjoy you beautiful country that you don't deserve.More

A party of 15 of us are here after visiting Kayakoy. It's an all round interesting experience where you go indoors and pick your meats and various mezze from a really nice and varied selection. A very hot charcoal grill is brought out to you...by a porter, followed by vegetables...peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms etc, plus halloumi. Then they start bringing out your meat but by bit. We also had some plates of slow cooked lamb...delicious! You do cook it yourself, so it helps if you have an idea how to this (we did) and it also helped that we had a Turkish-speaking English friend with us, I could imagine it might be trickier to negotiate the choices, although some staff did speak some English. This was a great experience, good fun and very informal, but I wish we'd eaten earlier (say about 6 or earlier) before it got really busy. The drinks became very slow coming and the huge amount of smoke everywhere, trapped by the vine trellises, became quite oppressive. These are the only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars.More

We were staying in Fethiye after Kalkan, as a half-way stop off before flying back to the UK from Dalaman. We’d heard about the BBQ restaurants close to Karakoy, the ‘ghost village’ we’d been looking around earlier and this place was recommended to us. We...really enjoyed the experience! The slow cooked lamb is to die for. We thought we had to choose between that and BBQ meat we prepared ourselves at the table but we had a selection of both, which was perfect. We chose a selection of chicken and different lamb cuts between us weighing a kilo (fixed price, regardless of what you choose) and also a selection of 6/7 salads and it was all delicious, washed down with a dry rosé for me and an Efes beer for my partner. The only thing I’d say is that in future I’m not sure we’d bother choosing the ‘extra’ salads, because the main meal came with a delicious fresh salad, sweet whole peppers, tomatoes and onions and the extra salads, whilst it was nice to try them, weren’t really needed and we didn’t finish them. We’d definitely recommend this restaurant and will come back if we’re in Fethiye again.More

This barbecue restaurant is easy to find as you drive into Kayakoy from Hisaronu. There is plenty of parking with shade under trees. This large restaurant is often busy even on the nights that it opens out of season. When the temperature drops the outdoor...areas remain open but there is the option to eat inside around the central open fire. You choose your meat which is brought to your table either raw or cooked, you choose. Most tables have a barbecue area associated with them so you can grill meat to your liking, This is not for me as the slow roasted lamb is too good to pass up for barbecue food that could be found in other restaurants in the area. Delicious lamb served on a metal plate over hot charcoal sizzling in it's own fat! The vegetarian allowed me to indulge myself with fatty spitting lamb as she looked away and enjoyed a range of meze some of which were uncommon including the cheese and walnut meze. We both ate well. The only negatives, I am not sure cooking your own food is worth the slight mark up in price. When the fire is roaring and cooking is inside, then the atmosphere is smokey and nostalgia is triggered as clothes smell as they did before the ban on smoking indoors. An entertainment experience as well as good food so we hope to be repeat visitors,More

Nice setup in the garden. The bbq idea of outdoors is not proper you end up in clouds of smoke. It is better that their staff handle the cooking away from you and that you ask be seated on the side to avoid the bbq...smoke from other guests. The taste of food is average. Once is enough to tryMore
