This restaurant has a very pleasant courtyard away from the street near the Mevlana Museum. The service was friendly. Our starters, stuffed artichoke and mince wrapped in vine leaves, were good but not out of the ordinary. We found the main courses a bit disappointing, possibly because of the strong recommendations in Trip Advisor and Lonely Planet. My wife found... More

The restaurant situates at the far end of the atmospheric street with several other eateries such as Kandil and Lokmahane. The day before we went to Kandil which is good for Turkish pizza, so wanted to try something different. They had a courtyard behind the building where we had our lunch. They did not have everything on the menu, but... More

We had a very nice dinner here! The owner greeted us warmly and his German speaking nephew helped us to order. We had a starter and two mains and they treated us to an aperitif and Chay at the end of the meal. We paid 55 TYL which is really not expensive at all. I would recommend the restaurant :)

The place serves dishes prepared according to Seljuk tradition, who apparently used nuts and fruits in their foods. Most of the menu was not available when we visited this establishment, and we did not like some of what we ordered from those available. The place is good if you want to try different tastes but be prepared for something you... More

The staff was very kind and attentive. We arrived at this place too late, so the kitchen was closed down already, yet they didn't turn us down. We're especially impressed by our waitress who was pretty knowlegable about the dishes and the history of the restaurant itself. The food really is tasty and unique here, they're of an origin which... More

Mixture of Ottoman, Mevlevi and Seljuks Cuisine. You can find very tasty meat for meat lovers and also Vegan food with different vegetables. Very authentic and tasty. Don't forget to try the traditional dessert at the end of the meal.

My husband and I ate here last night, and pretty much from the get-go, I started getting the feeling that having our dinner at Somatci was a bad idea. After we ordered our dinner, the waitress came back and told us that they didn't have either of the things that we had ordered. Alright…so we both picked something else that... More

After browsing tripadvisor, we decided that Somatci with it's great reviews should be our place to eat. We got a small glass of vinegar, honey and water. It didn't taste great, but it was a cool start to something authentic. My friend order soup to start with, and he thought it was good. Then we both ordered lamb shank with... More
