We went there for dinner and took the recommendation for the menu. The staff were very friendly and fast. The food very tasty and rich. Prices very reasonable. Location is on a busy Main Street, but you could always sit inside, too. Definitely well worth a visit.

My meal started with an excellent soup - but a small portion. It was accompanied by a standard salad and the usual yogurt with pulses. The bread was not fresh. My main was lamb with rice - again nothing special. Service was efficient and English was spoken. No alcohol is served. The interior of the restaurant is reasonably smart -... More

I liked the freshness and the unique taste of the food. Most food not suitable for vegetarians.

This restaurant has a strong reputation in Turkey for the best kaburga dolma (stuffed lamb ribs). Its origin is in Diyarbakir but they also have a branch in Istanbul. When I lived in Istanbul I was invited several times to eat there to enjoy this special dish. Once in Diyarbakir, we did not have any doubt where to eat dinner... More

Surprisingly, there aren't too many decent restaurants in this big city. Kaburgaci Selim Amca is one of the few ones. It does not have anything special other than its special local dishes, mainly "kaburga dolması". The meals are too heavy for those who are not used to those tastes but it still worths a try. The place is extremely cheap.... More

This restaurant is very well known for its karburga dolmasi - so good that the formula has been replicated in its branches in Istanbul & Mardin and copied by other restaurants in South East Turkey. For your 25TL you get a lentil soup, steamed icli kofte and the kaburga dolma; rice is steamed within the ribcage of a lamb, the... More

Conveniently located across from the historic city walls outside the city gates , the restaurant is famous for its stuffed rib . We took a set menu and served very delicious lentil soup - Ezo Gelin, followed by içli köfte - local specialty - herbed and spiced minced meat covered in a bulgur pastry and steamed . Along with main... More
