Whenever i come back to Alfred cant wait to visit this restaurant. It brings me back to my youth. Family owned, spotless, inviting, relaxing with excellent food and friendly people. A must if you are in Alfred.

Decent diner, great prices and selection. Only negative was the fried food tasted like it was cooked in old oil. We had 8 of us and they were willing to do individual checks. We ordered a mix of breakfast and lunches. Everyone was satisfied. Service was good.

A hometown favorite for thousands and always a great place to visit when home. I love how this restaurant capitalizes on the resources of other businesses in town. I had the Stearns Chicken salad and it was delicious! They have great fries and delicious home cooking with lasagna that melts in your mouth. If you enjoy the memories of yesteryear... More

I was in Alfred recently for my college reunion, and I had both a lunch and a mid-afternoon "snack" at "The Jet." Service was excellent on both occasions, and so was the food. I had a salmon burger for lunch, and a breakfast sandwich (the McJet) for my snack, which demonstrates that the breakfast menu is available all day long.... More

We had 2 lunches at the Collegiate ..once with a large crowd of 10 and another with just 2 of us. Each was great..both the service and food. The waitress was fine with separate checks and was amazingly attentive to all of us. The food was great..the Souvalaki Salad was huge..the steak was flavorful and tender..and reasonably priced at $8.75..two... More

Good consistent food, decent prices and usually prompt service. A variety of choices that can accommodate most diets and tastes. Cozy, comfortable and a good representation of both schools. A definite must try if you are in Alfred NY.

If you want mediocre food and terrible service this is the place for you. Three of us went to eat and were served our meals at least 10 minutes or so apart. So much for eating a meal together. I had a piece of salt rising bread that was suppose to be toasted, it was not. My pancake and egg... More

Been going here for years always good. Its a quaint step back in college time with the paddles of frats from previous days gone by. The have an extensive menu with tons of choices. The have breakfasts that rock . Burgers and fries that hit the spot. Cant go wrong with this place for good eats!! Manja!!

We love the "Jet", as it has been known locally for decades. Great food, super decor---the fraternity and sorority paddles hanging on the wall. You can always count on good food there!!!
