We went to this little place as we wanted some indian food...i can honestly say that this is the worst food that i have ever eaten. The food was lukewarm at best, the roti's were frozen parathas and their mango lassi nearly made me puke up there and then. To

If you like a good Indian curry, this is the restaurant for you, it isn't on the main drag, but a little up the road, it is combined with a secondhand bookshop & the restaurant is set in the garden. The curries were delicious and the owner (maybe Mr Asoke) was very nice. It was very quiet and we were... More

A friend and I went to Mr. Asoke's after seeing a raving review on this website. Even as a dedicated cook who follows some of the best recipes ala Madhur Jaffrey, I still like to go out to try restaurants out. The guy who took our order said he was the cook as well. We ordered a Saag Paneer (spinach... More

So I'm going to be totally frank and honest here. The guy seems like a nice old guy (german I think) but he shouldnt be selling such crap off as Indian food. So we arrive and we're not sure if it's open or not. Then the owner I presume comes out after shouting for assistance. We sit down and get... More

Bland food that is overpriced. We were looking forward to good Indian food, but this place has a cheek to call itself Indian. They scrimped on the ingredients and served up watery soups that were meant to be korma and tikka masala. The service was miserable and when questioned about what the korma was meant to be, the guy mumbled... More

Mr Asoke seems like a nice gentleman, he has a nice piece of land where he has his restaurant and it has a very relaxed feel to it. So far so good. But the food is nothing special and the person who said that it is the best Indian food (s)he has ever tasted could do with some travelling. I... More

This place is tucked back off the road across from the 7-11. We went because of a good review on TA. I cannot express how tasty the food is and it is so light , not sitting on the stomach at all. Having eaten in top rated Indian restaurants in Birmingham, this place should be transported near to home! To... More

Mr. Asoke cooks some delicious unique Indian food. The food is very good but can be very slow. It's normal to wait 20-25 minutes when no one is there, and it's quite possible to wait 45 minutes if there are a couple other tables. It's the best place to get lamb that I have found in Rawai.

What a great little find . we had a really different Indian meal . Mr Asok is a Thai Indian and makes a sort of fusion Indian Thai meal . Great Value for money and a relaxed place to hang out and drink Kingfisher beer . Recomended by us

Have eaten in most of the indian restaurants in Patong, Karon, Kata and so on. And also in other contries around europe and in the US. But Mr. Asokes authentic indian food is in a league of its own. From the best Rogan Josh I ever ate anywhere in the world, to the chicken madras or chicken vindaloo, all are... More
