Excellent menu, with authentic Italian cuisine, a good wine list, great service and a very nice owner. The place has a clean and warm atmosphere. Well worth a visit :)

I walked past, asked a polite waitress do you have Spaghetti Bolognese she confirmed yes and I said OK I'd like a bowl. I was well dressed and groomed, I know for certain I was well presented. "Do you have a booking"? I said no,...she explained "Sorry we have full bookings, but you can come back for lunch". The restaurant was empty. Completely, except for a few outside. Off I went to the Italian down the road and had a lovely Bolognese. Took my time, had an entrée. Walking home again, past Carlo again an hour later. Completely empty. That, my friends, is snobbery in a nutshell. All I wanted was a quick bowl of Spaghetti. Don't book - don't come in? That doesn't, nor ever will, work for me. You can ask if I expect to stay long, I'm OK with that, so I can confirm I'll be done before your bookings arrive but rejecting me at the door without discussion is disrespectful and unnecessary. Even if table was booked we had to wait in the alley. No place to sit and wait. We came 7 minutes in beforehand. From seating to main course it took 1 hrs and 40 minutes. The table next to us, who came later had...finished with starter, main course and drinks before we got our main course. Food was though really good.More

After reading the reviews of this restaurant we decided to give it a try. How right those reviews are. The owner is from Milano. After visiting Tuscany this summer and enjoying the wine and food, I can only say, the experience here was much the...same. Lovely restaurant, every detail is perfect, from the table cloth to the napkins to the uniforms of the servers, right down to the slim yellow belts on the female servers. Just beautiful! The owner visits each table to see if everything is to the satisfaction of the customer. The painstaking details of course, includes the food which is very fresh and delicious. We had a wonderful evening here.More

Good atmosphere and good staff. We had a very nice starter of smoked salmon. It could have been great….but we had pizza’s and sadly they were disappointing! Especially as this was a prominent Italian. The bases were pre made….probably frozen. Even super markets offer hand...made pizza bases so it felt a bit strange. The toppings were ok. I’m sure the other dishes are great. Just wouldn’t rate the pizza.More

We ordered buratta, spaghetti vongole, lasagna and 4 cheese pasta and a good red wine. Great service! Good food! And good wine. Many of the staff were at our table and made sure that everything was good, I can recommend the wine Donna Marzia primitivo

Authentic Italy. Chef comes to table, huge choice of everything good from Italy and the Pizza is fantastic. We came to Carlo every year, then 3y break due to Covid and we saw now nothing changed and same super food, service and ambiente. Booked an outside table 1 day in advance because this place is always pretty busy. Service was very good, food (thuna carpaccio / pasta pesto / pizza thuna) great and the bottle of rose nice. The pricing is like at home but for Thailand definitely...at the upper end - will return if we want to go for Italian food.More
