Chao Lay is located on the pier, and therefore offers a great view of the ocean. The restaurant is a great way to experience some local food and culture. The restaurant is simply furnished, and offers a variety of locally caught fish and seafood. The menu is in Thai, English and German. Also some of the staff spoke a minimum... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our travel agent. It was fantastic. Staff were very polite & helpful as what to have. We totally enjoyed our seafood. We were going to come back again but it was raining . But will do on our next visit.

I am so surprised that there are so many good reviews of this 'seafood' restaurant!! The seafood was by far the worse seafood restaurant I've been to in Thailand. Normally this country is famed for its fresh seafood, friendly smiles and great honest food. We didn't get any of that. We ordered Morton bay bugs (we wanted to order the... More

I used to love this place - but am close to not visiting again - the staff really dont care anymore - sullen faces - hard to get attention and basic manners seem to be lacking

This restaurant is tops for sea food. Well situated on a pier open air, over the water and can cope with large and small groups. The range of seafood is amazing and the service excellent. A busy place so best to be early or later. Very reasonably priced. I have eaten here probably 15 times during my 3 trips to... More

A Thai colleague recommended me this place and we arrived with reservations but was told to sit inside due to light drizzle. Food arrived very quickly and the quality of food is good in my view , we ordered like 7 dishes and cost about 2500 baht with fish, crayfish , shell fish and squid. The fish is very nicely... More

We went on the eve of a holiday so a lot of the good seafood ran out, such as the tiger prawns and crabs. The only ones left were really huge and cost 600baht per tiger prawn and 1600 per crab, which might be ok if you're in a large group. We ordered medium crab meat fried rice, tomyum soup... More

Nothing fancy but fresh and sumptuous seafood. For dinner time , there is a nice breeze. Always crowded , these days it can get quite noisy with many tourists who have discovered that the food is good and the price reasonable. Plenty of staff , so service is quick. The fried garoupa with three flavors of sauce is recommended. The... More

The atmosphere is nice, you can see the seaside and enjoy the breeze. Many food choices, but they aren't really good. The food again not hot enough. Why I said again, is a second place where here in Hua Hin they don't serve hot food.

We got the table at the corner near the sea as we went there early, around 5.45pm. Recommended menus were great and fresh with reasonable price. The atmosphere were excellent. The service was also good. Will come back next time.
