Same quality of food and service as the original in Taipei. Worth a visit, the wait is never too long.

dintaifung is always an excellent choice for travelers, with very good chinese food at very reasonable prices. the only downside is the long waiting time. but this branch is in the mall, beside the grocery, allowing for some shopping

This very well patronised restaurant iss located within a shopping centre. We dined here in a small group on a Sunday evening and theree was a huge queue of people waiting to get in. Food was excellent and service efficient. Highly recommended.

I flew in to visit my boyfriend in Taichung, and this is the first restaurant he took me to. I was not disappointed! We had three different types of dumplings(the pork being my favorite), Taiwanese lettuce, peanut noodles, and hot and sour soup. We had to wait about an hour for a table, but it was so worth it. Service... More

I'm a fan of eating at Michelin starred restaurants so I was excited to try Din Tai Fung at Top City Shopping Mall. We went on a weekday so the wait was around 15 minutes. The dumplings were amazing! Love the thin skin on each of the dumplings. We had shrimp and chives dumpling, fried rice, peanut sauce noodles, spicy... More

This is my favorite place for dumplings. My favorites are the truffle dumplings: expensive but definitely worth it! It's typically very crowded: expect to wait 50 mins to eat during the weekend, 20 otherwise.

the waiting queue may be long, peak hours in the evening will let you wait 30'. Phone in advance, if you speak Chinese.

As a western businessman, I found the menu plentiful, and the service excellent. The items described as spicy were perfect.

We have lots n lots of DingTaifeng restaurants in Singapore (19 outlets in SG vs 10 outlets in Taiwan) so one would think we will try other restaurants since in Taiwan. But No! Ding Tai Feng is from Taiwan & hence it's always become a must go, "must eat at least once" whenever I'm in Taiwan. Taichung being a big... More

Din Tai Fung is the pride of Taiwanese cuisine. Its high quality dishes and its carefully selected flavours make it one of the world's most well-renown restaurants ever. The one in Taichung continues the tradition of delivering high-quality dishes, especially with its Xiao Long Bao 小籠包, but fails to live up to the original branch in Taipei. That said though,...
