The goose was delicious. Ask for their special sauce if they don't serve it automatically. They will give you a paper to indicate your orders - get the back (wei 尾) part of the goose if you like something more fatty (yum!). I got the drumstick. It's reasonably priced. I got some fried bird's nest fern (abt 150NT) too! Pleasantly... More

I was there with 2 Japanese, and we all loved the food. We had their signature goose dish and were recommended several great dishes e.g. a sort of fern stir-fry with black beans (I think) which was unique to Taiwan (Hualien?), pork skin as thin as fish skin with chewy texture and deep fried roe with mayonnaise toppings. Go in... More

We were not intended to eat there as our first choice. We dropped by this shop as we found a lot of locals and tourists alike packed inside. Though not very cheap, we found goose meat fresh and delectable, very much juicy, like Chiuchow style. I would recommend it to all fine diners who wants a taste of Chiuchow or... More

We visited Mister Goose on the recommendation of a local taxi driver. The restaurant is located along the road which happens to be one of the busier roads in the city. While we were not able to read the menu, the staff were nice and helped us with some of the more popular dishes. We had a portion of goose... More

After recommendation from taxi driver, tour guide as well as the host; my Friend and I decided to give this restaurant a try. It was full house when we arrived so we had to share table with another group of customers. We ordered the combo of chicken and duck rice, together with rice and braised pork rice. It cost us... Mr Goose was recommended by the host of Fanlin House. Apparently it is a popular restaurant among the local & tourist. Queue wasn't horribly long. We had quite a bit for 3 adults. Total damage of NT730. Saving our stomach space for the night market.

We had dinner here 2 weeks ago when we were in Hualien as our minsu had recommended this as one of the must eat in Hualien. There is a shortage of goose in Taiwan now, so they have limited servings of their famous goose each day, probably for an hour each at lunch time and dinner time each day. Each... More

Their local delicacy is actually cold dish goose with ginger slices. The shop is not hard to find as you can ask the locals for directions, initially we thought they sell roast goose but the food was quite delicious too with their sauce though the cooking of goose was only done in 1 style.

We had a wonderfully delicious dinner here! Casual setting, with helpful (English speaking) staff and outstanding food. Diners normally check off dishes from a printed menu, but since we don't speak Chinese, the owner served as our host. We let him walk us through the process and simply asked him to serve his recommendations. We shared a plate of sliced... More
