Went there twice during our 4 days trip, it is good, a basic pot which requires you to add the necessary pepper and salt, both reAdy on the table. Can skip the fried whole chicken, not bad, but ginseng chicken better.

This place has been around forever and the little house in the heart of downtown is certainly a landmark. The food just isn't very good. The samgyetang is quite expensive and not really that tasty. Same goes for the roasted chicken. The banchans are tiny too. I've been there many times but never came away satisfied. There's cheaper, better samgyetang... More

This place earned its name for Samgyetang- but made me wonder why. This place is located in the center of downtown and almost always busy but the food they offer is not that great. The small chicken they use to make soup is always boiled too much and the bone breaks like cookie crumbs. I think the quality of chicken... More

This is a great place to go if you just want some warming, homely and tradition Korean food! I have been here a number of times and it never disappoints. They only have 3 things on the menu which are all msg free, ranging from 6,000-12,000 won. The whole chicken and rice broth is really good and although some reviews... More

While the service, prices and atmosphere were excellent, the food quality was only average. I didn't mind the lack of selection, (chicken soup or whole chicken) but wished for more flavor. If you want something quick and decent, this place is perfect. Don't be deceived by the decor, however, which gives the impression of a much higher quality restaurant.

We wanted a more authentic dinner experience and this was perfect. It was unusual to sit in chairs at such a traditional restaurant. We shared the whole chicken stuffed with rice. The meal was good, simple yet tasty and filling. The chicken, ginseng broth made the soup. The food arrived quickly. The English menu provided instruction on how to use... More

This is a traditional restaurant very popular with locals, so it must be good! There are only 3 dishes in the menu at this restaurant. The chicken stuffed served boiling in its own pot was delicious - tender and falling off the bone. A whole chicken to share between 2 people or half a chicken for 1 person. The food... More

Most westerners would see this as a Cornish hen soup, but it is a traditional soup in China and Korea. This delicious warm soup is served with a whole chicken falling off the bones, some green onions and other delicious flavorings. You can sit on chairs and the restaurant is located in the shopping district of Daegu. A very nice,... More
