Love the history of this restaurant. Staff were pleasant, owner's visible. Waiter accommodating, made me a cucumber martini per my request. Oysters were great, the staff still were suit jackets which I loved....would recommend highly.

We stopped here for a nice dinner while staying in downtown Albany. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a shot. The prices aren't cheap but are actually very reasonable considering the high quality food and service. We started with the seafood...More

Expensive for really bad food. While the aphmoshere was great and the service fine the food was bad. Send back because a few plates were cold and when they brought it back it was just as cold. Oysters were small. Family of 8 celebrating a...More

Right around corner from hotel so we tried it. We mainly had starters. Oysters were really good but pricey at $34 a dozen. Must be going rate in area but double what I'm used to paying. Chopped salad was OK but was overpowered by the...More

I had an early dinner on a Friday night at Jacks. The service was attentive which is unusual when a restaurant is empty. The crabcakes were good but they had a little too much sauce on them. Broccoli and mashed potatoes were good as well....More

On the street parking, and a parking garage in the rear. The attire runs the gambit from suits to business casual during the week. Its a nicer than average place so dress well but comfortable.

There are three or four entree salads and a pizza pomodoro on the menu. I do agree with the suggestion that you call and inquire. They are very accommodating.
