It seems the chef insists on messing around with everything. I had ribs, my wife had Columbian chicken. Everything on the plate was trying too hard to be unique. Along with my ribs was some "cooked" watermelon, yucky greens, and corn bread that was pan toasted and sort of tasted like grilled cheese. But the worst sin were the ribs.... More

This place has a large selection of somewhat uncommon beers. Those I have had so far were good. The beer comes in many different sizes, so you can drink exactly as much as you like. The food is also good, but somewhat overpriced and the menu is limited (especially on weekdays). I ended up having a burger. The location is... More

City Beer Hall is a favorite of mine -- great food, great things on tap (always gluten free options). This place is toward the top of my list (usually #1), when thinking of places to go with friends to have a relaxing evening after work. I can even handle the occasional Saturday "club night" upstairs. And if looking for something... More

My family and I stumbled upon this place while visiting Albany. It was a good find. I'm the only beer drinker in our lot, and I was pleased by the selection of draughts. The waitress knew her beer, and guided me to a couple excellent choices. The room is pretty funky, with several long, beer hall-style tables. We ordered the... More

Great lunch with good choice of beer selections and interesting food with a twist. My grilled cheddar cheese sandwich had raisins and apricots - surprisingly delicious - and was served with a lovely, fresh arugula salad. Wings were served with a wonderful spicy pickled pineapple. Our server was helpful and a good source of local knowledge. The restaurant owns a... More

This is a great place to enjoy a large variety of beer. They also have a superb lunch menu and a very friendly staff.

This place had a great beer selection and nice outside patio area. I visited with a group of friends and it was a good atmosphere. I don't know if its the norm here, but there was no air conditioning. It was pretty humid in the middle of May. That's my only complaint

The location is very good if you're in the Empire Plaza area. They have a broad selection of local and non-local craft beers along with the regulars. I had falafel and my wife had a salad. The food was great and we both especially like the homemade chips as a side.

Food here is clever and delicious. The Mac and cheese is literally to die for. The bull is on the weekends and is a must try. So much harder then it looks!!

We stopped in on an early Saturday evening. City Beer Hall has one of the best assortment of beer taps in the city. There were many that we’d never tried before. We started with pints of Sloop the Sour Peach for my wife and a Troegs Scratch #231 Nitro Chocolate Stout ($7 ea.) for me. The Sloop was not as... More
