Had a late lunch on a Friday - Miso soup was so-so, salad was drenched in dressing. Ordered mix of sushi options - small portions and mixed sushi quality. The scallops in the roll were not fresh, we didn't finish that roll. Waitress was ambivalent about the quality and told us there were no refills on sodas despite $3 a... More

This location is provides excellent food and service for the price. We ordered dinner from the hibachi menu for the first time and were not disappointed. The seafood was prepared to perfection. The miso soup is delicious. As an aside, my wife stops here often to pick-up dinner for herself when I am away. This is a place for getting... More

Well, at least this restaurant dispenses with the pleasantries on any attempt that it’s really Japanese. Soon as we walked in, there was no doubt it wasn’t to be an authentic experience. Perhaps too many visits to Japan have me jaded, however I wouldn’t review a sushi place much differently. The bento box is good value, not so much the... More

Although not fancy the setting is comfortable and food, especially sushi, is fresh and high quality at reasonable price. Good variety of selections. Saki avail. One of the best small Japanese restaurants we have tried in surrounding 30 miles. Good attendance of Oriental patrons would seem to validate my appreciation of the menu and presentation.

Its fast efficient service even during the rushes. The sushi is average overall. The combos can be a good deal, it comes with miso which was good and salad but the salad is a chunk of lettuce with a glop of dressing. We all had different types of rolls 2 each and it was quite filling. The inside of the... More

Stopped into this place when at Stuyvesant Plaza and felt very fortunate to do so. First they served the best tasting miso soup the lady and I have ever had. Really a must. She had a lobster roll special and was very pleased. I had the sushi deluxe. Nine different fresh pieces and a nice tuna roll. All plates were... More

Stopped in for lunch and had a great time. Started with the negamaki and it was quite nice. Tried the lunch roll combo, which I chose spicy salmon roll and an avocado eel roll. Both were very fresh and tasty. Friendly staff.

I go to this restaurant for both lunch and dinner when I visit Albany. The tastes of all menu are pretty good, even for Japanese. There are many Japanese restaurants in the US where they use too much soy sauce, but this restaurant provides foods that are close to Japanese food in Japan. I'm sure I'll go there again when... We love Mr. Fuji. We are frequent Mr. Fuji guests for a reason. Yes, the location is super convenient, but the sushi is consistently phenomenal.

The sushi was fresh and beautifully created. The portions were very adequate for the price. The teriyaki salmon dinner was quite good and served with fresh, seasonal vegetables. The atmosphere is extremely informal, which is unusual for most Japanese restaurants. The location is very close to SUNY Albany with lots of parking.
