The steak panini with blue cheese was great! My family ordered a salad and they are HUGE! Someone ordered the chicken rice soup and that was delicious. Our only complaint was the speed of service. They were very slow! However, I would definitely come back and try some more things. The bakery looked great!

Dear TakemetoAlaska: Thank you for the review. Glad you loved the food. We have a small line renovation planned for this coming weekend to add some more space to our salad and sandwich area to help us increase speed of service. We are aware that the achillies heel of scratch food, made-to-order is speed, but we think we can make... More

Got a take-out Cobb Salad. Nice colors, but avocado and tomatoes tasted bad, chicken seemed like it was made many days prior. Threw most of it away.

I have been eating at Bountiful for over 15 years when I am in Albany on business trips. They offer a terrific selection of fresh salads and wraps. My most recent visits I tried a new salad that was not the most favorite I have had because the chicken breast did not have the best flavor. That being said I... More

A wonderful variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, baked goods. Stopped in to have lunch with dear friend. You order from the counter and they call you up to get your food. My friend built her own sandwich: ham, swiss, lettuce, red onion on grilled rye. I had a bowl of the tomato pesto soup and bread stick. Absolutely delicious! I... More

Went for lunch during a shopping trip at Stuyvesant Plaza. Sizable menu but my daughter & I each ordered the beet/mushroom/goat cheese salad. These were huge, but very delicious with fresh greens, slab of whole grain bread and tasty dressing. A good value. The place is large, clean, and efficient. Good choice for a shopping trip break!

I've eaten lunch at Bountiful many times. The atmosphere since the renovations is a little stark and cold. The food is always great and even though there is usually a line, the wait is short. The prices are a little higher than other restaurants in the area. However the quality of their food and bread makes up for the cost... More

I love the new renovation, but the food is no better than it was. Everything is expensive at this spot. They seem to get orders wrong more than they should. The soups always seem to be the same flavors. The bread is good, but, again, overpriced. This is really an upscale Panera. But, I like the food at Panera better.

Dear Travelling Lilly2014: Thank you for taking time to review Bountiful Bread. Glad you like the renovation. Our commitment to scratch baked soups, breads, sandwiches and salads made by chefs does drive costs a little higher than our competition where soup comes from a bag, breads are only par-baked onsite, and preservatives dominate. We could compete on price with the... More

This place used to serve PANINI sandwiches which were LARGE, with HIGH QUALITY bread, and fine ingredients. They still have “Panini” all over the menu, but on two recent visits, all we got is modest-sized sandwiches on ORDINARY SUPERMARKET BREAD. Bah. The ingredients are still good, but the “panini” promise, splashed all over the place, is PHONEY.

Although the restaurant has refigured the physical plan to make ordering easier, the wait is still too long. Can they get more help behind the counter? First visit here. I'm not from the area and I was looking for a place I could meet a friend and sit outside with my dog.
