A family gathering of seven dined on a Sunday evening at the New World Bistro. The restaurant was not my choice as I had looked at the menu beforehand and most of the entrees did not interest me. They have many very unique dishes with the majority of them not anything I would choose. As a result I selected a... More

We had THE best, the very very best vegetarian dinner (they have meat also). Daniel was our waiter and he knew EVERYTHING about the menu and all the contents of every item. We will be back.

When company comes to town New World is our go-to choice. Menu changes seasonally. Specials every night. Chef is a Chopped Champion.

The NWBB is one of my favorite places to eat. The ambience is wonderful. The food is exceptional and extremely creative. There are many unusual and spicy dishes, but they created a scale of hotness and the menu informs you about that. Chef Ric Orlando is one of the most celebrated chefs in the area, and also the chef-owner of... More

Great service and atmosphere with reasonable prices but even more importantly, the food was fantastic. We had the chicken wings (Korean BBQ) style, Ropa Viejo and Schintzel. All of these dishes were flavorful with different spices that made them extremely enjoyable. New World Bistro Bar lived up to its reviews and made it a great culinary experience for my son... More

We had never been to Albany before so made a reservation here based on the recomendation of a friend of a friend. GREAT choice! We were seated in the bar area, which was bustling. Our server Paula was outstanding and the food was great. We shared the very spicy Purple Haze Shrimp appetizer and both had salmon which was bursting... More

Went there on a Thursday night. Service was ok, menu is nice and different. Coming from a bigger city, I was expecting what we have gotten all over Albany...mediocre food. But it was surprisingly good!

When someone at our hotel recommended this place, we looked at the menu and thought we saw a place that was trying just a bit too hard to be cool, or whatever the hipsters say these days. We ended up here on a Monday night because no where else that wasn't an Applebee's was open (Albany seems to shut down... More
