One of the best cheesecakes in US!

*Please be aware that the direction shown on google map is wrong and their entrance is located on Hamilton street. The decor of Cheesecake Machismo is tiny but artsy and adorable. During COVID-19, only 2 customers are allowed to enter at once due to limited capacity. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. They introduced every flavor and recommended what they like to us in details since they all look amazing and we weren't be able to make our decisions. One of the best cheesecakes we have ever had in the US. I was not a fan of cheesecake but super impressed by their creamy and rich texture. We tried their Candy Bar (peanut butter & chocolate) and Cherry Amaretto. Both flavors were delicious and addictive. We will definitely visit again if we are in the neighborhood and highly recommend everyone to try!

Good Cheesecake and amazing staff

It was delicious and would love to go back and try other flavors. The store was small with a bench outside. It was nicely decorated and I love the map they had on the wall with pins for customers to pin where they are from around the world. The lady working there was extremely nice and she explained each flavor to us and took them out of the fridge to show us what each one looked like and gave us a sticker. There was a lot of flavor options and we wanted to try a bunch. We decided to try the raspberry beret and crème brulee. It was sweet, thick, and melts in your mouth.

I love this place.My favorite is Green Tea with chocolate.Cheesecake slices,are yummy and I love the fact that the flavors are rotated often.You'll want to get to the shop before 12pm to ensure your flavors don't sell out.Get a slice or two from CM today and have a nice day.😊🍰

waiting 1 hour 20 minutes could not get cheesecake

I went to the cheesecake store today at 11;40 am. I waited until 12:15 pm, then an employee from the store came out and said they only had 6 slices yet. don't go to this store. they sell their cakes for sky high prices, only open for 1 hour, and then close. why would they have people stand in line for one hour 20 minutes when they know they will not have any to sell in a short time

Amazing local Cheesecake!

A truly delightful hole-in-the-wall local cheesecake shop just a few blocks from the State Capitol area of Albany. With two tables and a real dedication to their craft it is a hometown wonder - their cheesecake is just amazing! They make the cheesecake right in the area behind the counter and it is fresh and ready just about each day it seems. The cheesecake is extremely high quality, tasty, and competitively priced. They will stop selling though once they run out of cheesecake for the day - so if you really want it be sure to stop by as soon as you can after it opens!

Simply the Best

There’s really no comparison between Cheesecake Machismo and any other cheesecake in the area. Most recently, my husband got a frankencake for my birthday. I had to fight off my family members to make sure I got my peanut butter cookie slices. I’ve actually never had a flavor that I didn’t like. The owners are super friendly, it smells like heaven, and it’s delicious. Make sure to get there early for availability of flavors!

Exceptional Cheesecake

I agree with the many stellar reviews that this is the best cheesecake ever. Whichever slice you choose, be prepared to have a fantastic taste experience. A tiny gem of a place in downtown Albany.

The greatest cheesecake!

This is simply the best cheesecake ever. I've never had a flavor that wasn't good. Yeah, it's a small store, and yeah, they sell out of flavors early and it only has on street parking and sometimes there is a line but who cares? If you want a simply delicious piece of cheesecake in everything from traditional to unique flavors then this is your go to. I defy any place in NYC or elsewhere to top this place. Go get a slice or two...or three...

GO EARLY!!!

We went about 4:30 on a Friday. They only had 2 types of cheesecake left. We got the last 2 pieces of Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake. It was GREAT!!! You get a slice of cheesecake and either coffee or hot chocolate for $6. Neither one of us could eat a whole piece!! This was our first visit, so we were surprised at how small it is. There are only 2 tables. It's pretty tight, but don't let that bother you. THE CHEESECAKE IS WORTH IT!!!!

Whether you're ordering a slice and a cup for $6 or two cakes for $100, this is the place to go for exceptional cheesecake served in a delightfully quirky setting. There's often a short line to the counter, but unless you're bothered by the sight of openly salivating people that's no problem. There's also a rumor I hope to personally confirm that CM offers 500 versions of cheesecake on a rotating basis. Everybody needs a goal in life; that's mine and I'm sticking to it.

Heaven for cheesecake lover!

You will dump cheesecake factory’s after having theirs. They have really nice cheesecakes with variety options fresh baked everyday! When you stepped in the store, it smells awesomely GOOD! They were popular and sometimes you don’t even have much choices left, they sold out quick and fast! I was here for green tea cheese cake but nothing left, that’s one of their best, we ended up taking strawberry, peanut butter and chocolate. Peanut butter flavor is extraordinary! One slice with a drink priced at $6. You need to order one week ahead if needed customize order.

I am a cheesecake fan and this place is heaven!! So many great varieties. A mix of flavors you wouldn't traditionally pair together but it creates greatness! I went for the 1st time with my husband and we will return again.

If you like Cheesecake and live in Albany or are visiting this is a must-try! A bunch of interesting flavors - that actually taste very good. The actual cheesecake not including all the extra stuff is top quality too. *******THEY OPEN AT NOON - BE SURE TO ARRIVE NOT TOO LATE AFTER THAT BECAUSE THEY SELL OUT WITHIN A FEW HOURS SOME DAYS**** (not open sundays and Mondays)

I drove by the first time contemplating on getting cheese cake . Due to a restricted schedule that was not possible. I stopped in today to grab a slice of the smores cheese cake and it was amazing! This is definitely the BEST cheesecake in Albany . I definitely will be recommending this place to my friends and family !!!!! Great Job!!!
