I really enjoy Sushi Tei. The restaurant is clean, well-run, and the food is very fresh. I particularly like the Mistletoe Roll. Note that this restaurant is around the side of the strip mall building and at night the shades in the window may make...More

Had friends visiting from Long Island this weekend and decided to try a new sushi restaurant since our old favorite seems to be getting humdrum and boring. We were in for a culinary experience with this restaurant - everything from start to finish was fantastic....More

FYI, they have a special lunch menu, which currently is not advertised on their website. They even have some Bento Box lunch specials. I liked that they gave me a choice of a soup other than miso. Their clear soup was surprisingly very tasty. I...More

This charming restaurant has recently expanded, while maintaining their level of food and friendly, attentive service. Kid yourself not - this is not as good as you can get in Tokyo or even New York City - but is definitely the very best sushi choice...More

Description
Sushi Tei is a traditional Japanese restaurant located in Albany, NY. We feature fresh, healthy Japanese food (dine-in or take-out). Wine, sake and various imported beers are also available for your refreshment. Sushi is a small piece of raw fish or shellfish on a bed of vinegared rice. This can be eaten as is, or is often dipped into soy sauce and then eaten. Sushi is based on the belief that nature cannot be improved, and is usually very simple. Therefore, great care is put into the creation, arrangement and the many methods of preparing the food. The finished appearance is also very important because the natural beauty and taste must not be lost, but enhanced!
