On our way up to Saratoga, we decided to stop along the way for dinner and had read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. All the raw fish was fresh and nice size pieces and the shumai was excellent, cooked in...it's own bamboo basket, cold tofu was smooth, and the cucumber wrapped crab role was unique and nicely proportioned. And the pricing was very reasonable. Don't be dissuaded by the location in a strip mall off of the main drag, it's a nice place and we will be back!More

You can't go wrong here with the quality of the sushi/sashimi, always fresh and served in an eye catching manor. All their food including the kitchen offerings are very well prepared. There is nothing to complain about this restaurant and with the expansion a little...over a year ago, just more good food being served. They have a beer and wine license which nicely complements the raw seafood. You just get the feeling that you are being served by family. It does get crowded around lunch time so plan accordingly.More

I don't know where to start. I have been coming here for over 5 years. This is my beloved restaurant anytime I crave sushi. They have a very friendly and helpful staff. I always enjoy my time there.

We had a good meal including the signature rolls and entrees! The prices are reasonable. The Ikura was generous portions and the salmon sushi was nicely done. They even gave us a free sushi roll which no restaurant had ever done for us before so...that was sweet!More

Very tasty meal. I had the tuna dumpling app.It was wonderful flavor and very filling.(2 large dumpling) The tuna was the dumpling and the crab was inside it. For the meal I had the flounder hibachi. Very good also. It had a sauce, grilled veg....and noodles and rice.Very fillg meal and will enjoy it again.More

Excellent food and service at this tucked-away Asian restaurant. They have a very complete menu and their sashimi and sushi were well-made, fresh and tasty.

I am constant return customer of this restaurant. I loved their Prawn donburi, gigantic fried shrimps and eggs over rice, and it is the best in town. They currently offered $1 sushi until the end of July 2018, includes most raw seafood sashimi over sushi....Highly recommended.More

I was treated there by a Japanese friend who wanted to treat me to authentic Japanese food. The food was excellent and the staff was very hospitable. The price was just right and the presentation and the ambience appealing. Nice place to go for dinner...with friends, family or a romantic date.More

I had tried Sushi Tei for take-out about two months ago and was very happy to pop in for a sit down lunch. The Sushi Tei is full Japanese restaurant that focuses on, you guessed it, sushi. It does have chicken, beef and seafood hibachi...as well. It's located in Cosmos strip mall off upper Western Ave. and it's around the corner location makes it a little hard for people to find. Sushi Tei is a member of what I call the "Asian Alley" on Guilderland's main strip, where from Stuyvesant Plaza to the former 20 Mall you can choose from at least nine restaurants all serving different styles and prices of Asian fare. The atmosphere as you would think is a lot of Asian decor and wall hangings strewn about to let patrons know this is not a strip mall sandwich joint. The space is not totally open but not intimate either, but does let one fall into a decent coziness once sat. The wait staff is on you right from the beginning, seem anxious to serve and quickly remove dishes as soon as you are done. On this occasion, I was with Talker (who really likes good sushi), so we decided to get a couple of different rolls and chose their lunch sushi combo which gives you the choice of three rolls and a small bowl of Miso soup. We each ordered one combo, talkers order consisted of white tuna, spicy crunch tuna and spicy salmon and my order was cucumber, spicy tuna and spicy crunch tuna as well. The soup was standard miso, which I like. The rolls however were rather cool and extremely fresh, which is exactly how you want them. The rolls were solidly put together, no falling apart in the soy sauce here. Each one was like a splendid little gift, very flavorful and light to the palate. The spicy tuna and salmon were the favorites made perfect with the right amount of spice to still taste the fish. Definitely felt satisfied at the end of the meal. Bottom line: Service was quick and competent, the place is very clean and the food was very fresh. Very good sushi for a very good price.More
