A lot of people and staff at our hotel said this was the best restaurant in Praslin, and they are almost right. There is one more exceptional place I will write a review but this place should definitely be on your list and is better...but this is #2. First the decor is a massive open air room with a side by sitting area where you are greeted and escorted for cocktails and a look at the menu, similar to dining in some places in France. The menu itself is somewhat small given the size of the restaurant, but offers enough diversity. The drinks menu lacks speciality cocktails but the portions of the drinks are massive and generous. We opted for a grill fish with pepper sauce and then a creole dishing of spicy prawns. Both were excellent. We also decided to start with that they called ceviche but it is really a very nice salad with raw fish, also very good. The prawn dish we ordered medium spicy and it was all of that--first creole dish we have had on the Island that actually had a nice kick. We complimented it with two ordinary glassed of white wine--they never really old us what they served us which was odd. Portions are massive and I would say two main courses could serve three people. We finished the protein portion off on ours but never got to side dished. There is a nice outdoor area with serves which I would have preferred given no breeze last night and there is also a nice walking area to a point where you get a nice view of the stars. Services was very nice, this places is expensive (like a lot on Praslin) but should be added to your list to dine at.More

A bad experience is also an experience. We would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Other than the beautiful view, there was nothing else good here. Prawns was dry and tasteless, overcooked. Octopus in salad is burnt, even bitter. The chicken was burned, dry meat...had to be searched under the burns. Side dish - rice, dry, unsalted and with too strong a spice - cloves. Another side dish - the onion rings and zucchini were dry and the tempura soaked in grease. The wine list is poor. After politely saying that the food was of poor quality and burnt, there was no response, not even an apology. Just an invoice…More

The location for sunset is perfect. Seychelles granite rocks, white sand and clever lighting for the darker hours. A few granite tables line the raised beach to enjoy aperitifs and cocktails before moving inside to the open restaurant! The menu is simple, a culinary delight...of local herbs and spices complimented perfectly by freshly caught fish or a selection of meat. It was always going to be fish for us, choosing the creole grilled fish and the fish curry. Lots of side dishes accompanied our mains, which were delicious. The flavours were out of this world. The team were attentive, informative and friendly. The prices represented the location and quality of everything on offer. Outstanding and thank you.More

The view was stunning , get there too watch the sunset . The food was superb but the portions are enormous so really 1 main for 2 people is enough. Downside , cocktails were terrible and the food took over an hour and a half...to arrive , we had to chase several times .More

We went to this place twice. Once for cocktails in the afternoon, and the second time for cocktails and dinner. We definitely wanted to check it out, as it is rated the number 1 restaurant on the island. Food is very good, but staff could...be a bit more welcoming. Some waitresses were really nice, but some were quite bitter. Even though we booked at 7PM and arrived there on time, we were forced to wait and have cocktail for almost one hour and a half, as all their dining tables were full. Normally this is not an issue, as the setup is very beautiful, but if you are hungry this could be a bit annoying. In terms of food, unless you eat a lot or you are very hungry, I advise you take two starters - salads, etc and share a main dish to share, as the size of the portions is very generous. We did not know this, so we each had a main dish, which comes with salad and rice; this was way too much - we were two. We tried the fruit bat curry (DELICIOUS SEASONING!) and the crab curry (very nice, but you need to know how to eat crab). The wine list is quite limited, but the expensive south african chardonnay was very nice. We ended up spending slightly above 300 euros (two cocktails, two main dishes and the expensive wine option). Don't regret it as this is a very nice place, but having also tried some of the local take-aways, I have to say that the price is only justified by the location of the restaurant, as the price / quality of the food compared to the actual local places is not justified. You could spend less, by sharing a main course and going for the less expensive wine (the wine was almost 100 euros). It's definitely a "go-to" place for a nice romantic dinner.More

Cocktails at sunset are definitely a must-do however diner it self, even though really good and well served, brings an overpriced bill compared to what’s available on the island. Hostess/waitress was quite rude during the full experience but someone else took over at the end...and made us end our diner on a nicer note. This restaurant is mostly for rich people staying in resorts like Raffles, wanting to have a night out.More

Sadly we didn't have time to stay for dinner... but our afternoon cocktails and refreshments were very good indeed and we spent a very pleasant hour and a half savouring the view and enjoying our drinks and snacks. Good service too.
