We went here on a Saturday night and it was such a great outing; not just for the food but the experience as a whole. Firstly, the setting is just beautiful, a Creole style home with modern touches, we started with some of their suggested cocktails. I had the zest with citrus notes - great. Super friendly staff! As for... More

We've had a diner here at the 21st of June. What a pleasant surprise! The location and decoration of the old plantation house was just perfect. The first restaurant we've experienced on the Seychelles, were the hostess actually make you feel more than welcome. Started with a appetizer of pies and a clam, we both choose a fish dish and... We were looking for a quite day so took a potter to La Plaine St Andre. After chatting to the helpful staff on duty we had a look round the small but pretty garden before snacking on two tapas we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the portions being much bigger than expected. The tapas was followed by a... More

Went there with friends for dinner, didn't have much choice on the menu, the price is quite high too, the food portion was very small for the price, I don't normally eat a lot but still felt hungry after main course.

Home of the famous Takamaka Rum. Tasting of the various types in the shop was enjoyable. The staff explained the different rums and made recommendations based on our preferences. We found the prices at the airport duty free somewhat cheaper. I guess it is to be expected with duty free prices.

The owner has changed, and the new ones are mew and not prepared. They change also chefs and cooks. Long time waiting for some dishes very untasty. They have to learn a lot, and to improve the staff with people of the cousine's world the restaurant have lost his poetry.

I was in Seychelles 4 years ago and this was the only place that I remember my meal from. I went back this year and had another great meal. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for great food and rum.

We paid $18 for 2 pieces of fish no larger than 2 fingers, only the top knuckles. Total ripoff. The building is beautiful and decorated very nicely, but it doesn't justify the price. Our main courses were better, but it still didn't live up to the price for me. Wish we would have spent the money elsewhere.

The restaurant serves good contemporary cuisine with a local flavour. The setting is in a historic house which has been remarkably well restored. The bar has a legendary cocktail menu!

The Plantation House has been lovingly restored based on its original plans, and actually rests on its original foundations. The 200-year-old trees which line the Bilenbi Avenue are untouched and are on the site's original site plans. The property is also home to a beautiful garden from which our chefs proudly source their fresh herbs and spices. Takamaka Bay, our fabulously Seychellois rum, came to life in 2001 and was inspired by the D'Offay family recipe. It is used both in La Plaine St. Andre's bar and kitchen. By day, the grounds of La Plaine provide a tranquil setting for a day away from the beach - our petanque court pays tribute to our French heritage, our garden surrounding the historic ruins is a treasure trove for the nature-lover in you and our distillery is open to be explored from Mondays to Fridays. When the sun sets, the ambience of our restaurant changes dramatically; enjoy an intimate meal in our private dining room or on our softly lit terrace or an Al Fresco dinner under the stars.
