Within walking distance of the Basilica of the Annunciation, our ETS tour group stopped here for a casual lunch. The service was a bit slow, the atmosphere lacking, but the staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the freshly made shish kabab and shawarma.

Casa Nova Restaurant is a place where tourist groups that come for lunch are handled like on a conveyor belt. Its interior looks like a cave. It is not very welcoming with its long tables and plastic chairs. The service was a bit slow. It...took quite some time until I got the falafel and pomegranate juice I had ordered. While I was eating, one group left and the other was being ushered in. There was always a lot of noise. In the end the waiter had some difficulty in adding up the correct items and in bringing back the exact change. Now that I have read the other reviews on TA I would say that it need not be this restaurant, there are more in Nazareth.More

Very well located near the Church of Annunciation, this is a fantastic place to go eat & drink, I got a very good and tasty shawarma and few delicious freshly pressed orange juices! All this made by very friendly and smiling staff! It was a...great experience! I highly recommend it!More

Our guide brought our large tour group to "Caza Nova Restaurant" (as spelled on the signs) in Nazareth for lunch and use of the WC. It's very close to the Basilica of the Annunciation. It is a no-frills, basic setup with old tables covered with...sticky vinyl cloth and folding chairs crammed into a small area to accommodate groups. To speed things up, our choices were a gyro sandwich with soda for $13 USD or falafel sandwich and canned soda for $10 USD. Service was a erratic in getting our orders and paying bills at the end. Sandwiches were average size and okay, unremarkable. The pomegranate juice was fresh, tasty. Prices seemed high by US standards but with tour groups coming in, it was surely the tourist rate. WC facilities were small and not so clean but available.More

A good place to visit when hot, if one wants a cool freshly-made fruit juice drink. The dining area is air conditioned and refreshing. The bathrooms were clean and free to use for customers. I had some pomegranate juice, refreshing.

The shawarma was delicious as was the espresso. Surroundings were basic, lacking ambiance. Toilets were clean.

The welcome was good, but when we wanted to pay, we could pay only in cash. Now we know why ... We gave 800 shekel, but after 1 minute, the gentleman returned saying that he was missing 200 shekel, and said he had been given...600. We were sure that we had given 800, because it was all the cash we had. We felt very scammed, but since it was his word against ours, we could do nothing. We did not want to call the police either, which I regret now. By the way, the billl was very high compared to other restaurants where we ate during the 3 weeks of our trip. In any case it is a place where we will never go again. It's a pity they treat tourists this way.More
