It's the best hummus I've ever had. I'm no stranger to hummus - it's a dish I've loved and eaten my entire life in several countries. I've had hummus made by Egyptians, Syrians, Palestinians. This is by order of magnitude the best. There's a "hummus war" in Israel - a friendly debate among locals about whose hummus is the best.... More

If you want to come back from Israel and say you had the best humus ever, then you have to come here. No question. Amazing and fast service. Nice people. It's hard to get to but it's the hole in the wall place you're looking for.

Abu Hassan really lives up to his reputation. I don't know if this is the best hummus in the world, but it's certainly the best I ever had.

This place is legend. Our company sends people to Tel Aviv for work often and everyone passes word down to visit this place. Its a hike from our hotel, but worth it. I always stop by here before going home from business.

One of the best humus places I have eaten. The other place is near my brother's classmate's place. Didn't know before coming to Tel Aviv that humus can be a meal. Great taste, but too heavy.

Abu Hassan (also called Ali Caravan) is a traditional Arab humous place. What started as a little joint in dolphin st. (Near the old Jaffa harbor) is now a chain with 4 branches- 3 around the same area in old Jaffa and one in Sarona market. Order "the triple" in Hebrew "meshulash" so you get a plate with a mix... I've eaten a lot of hummus since living in Israel for the last few years, and this is THE BEST! There's supposedly an Abu Sayid in Akko that I have to go check out to see if it's better than Abu Hassan, but we'll see...
