Large area with various restaurant and food stall. Nice place to meet friend or eat with family but at dinner time gonna be too crowded and need long time to waiting you order to served. and price of mineral water here is surely very expensive. 4 times expensive than normal price

If you are close by or near the Centrepoint Shopping Centre then you may wish to visit Merdeka Walk. There are a good array of restaurants and coffee shops that are reasonably priced but it is nothing like the night markets one would find in KL or Taiwan. You could probably find a good local meal here but you won't... More

I ate at Sala Sala. I found the food to be cheap and tasty. The Mia Goreng (seafood) was as good as most I have had in a street food style place. There are chains such as Pizza Hut in the strip, but there are enough local places to keep most people happy.

Medan doesn't have much to offer for tourists. There are really no attractions so the city created this place. Typical fast food, including a Pizza Hut, nothing worth wasting your time on.

Bright and garish of night but there are a few chain restaurants as well as The Golden Arches and Pizza Hut a few local franchises as well as hawker stands. Always has been neat and tidy when I have been there but I do not go often. Lots of local people go to the rear for a bit of exercise... More

Went to merdeka walk with friends to spent our night and grab some food. Decided to try the famous durian pancake in jala-jala restaurant. Merdeka walk was famous for a place to hang out.

Best place for dinner and hanging out at night..you can also find souvenirs and try "bentor" becak motor (authentic local public transportation) but must bargain half price..
