I'm not local from West Sumatra but I'm Indonesian and found some dishes here are unusual. But all are awesome. For you guys foreigner, all the dishes in the table are not for you to finish. You only pay for what you eat. Located on the main street with big parking space. So nothing to worry.

We ate here on a Saturday night around 8 pm, no problem to get a table. Some of the servers can speak English, but it doesn't really matter because you only need to order your drink, then the rest of the food arrives in small dishes and you eat what you want. The food tasted good, my favorites: daun singkong... More

I went twice to the restaurant opposite the clock tower; the best place to sit is by the window overlooking the tower and busy square. It is open at all hours and always full but the place is huge, the service rapid and the quality reliable. I had gadoh-gadoh, the must-try rendang sapi and a few vegetables, the best being... More

Most convenient place to try regional specialty Ampiang Dadiah, glutinous rice topped with local buffalo yoghurt and palm sugar. Delightful early breakfast menu at 7.30!

According to CNN, Rendang Padang is the best food in the world. I agree with such an assessment, although I am not a person from Padang or West Sumatra. Since I was a child, I always found that the Rendang Padang is the best food for my tongue. However, among this kind delicious food, the Rendang Padang provided by the... More

This restaurant is located at the main entry road from Padang to Bukittingi not far from famous "Jam Gadang". The variety of foods are just like in other Padang food, and its famous dish is Beef Rendang. Usually it is open until late night.
