About

The journey of RM Bumi Aki Puncak started from a small coffee shop at Jalan Raya Puncak-Ciloto No. 59 in 1987, which was later built into a family restaurant with typical Sundanese cuisines. In Sundanese, Bumi Aki means "Grandpa's House". Based on the name, we hope that every customer will enjoy the warm and cozy atmosphere that usually can be experienced in grandparents' house while being surrounded with family and friends. We also adopt the Sundanese culture of "Someah Hade Ka Semah" in serving our customer. We prepare our dishes with traditional cooking utensils to enrich guest experience in tasting a true Sundanese cuisines. Right now, we have 5 branches located in Bogor, Cibinong, and Puncak area.

Super excellent food with reasonable price

Wow the food was excellent. Everything we tried from the Nasi Liwet to the chicken, ikan peda, petai bakar were really really good. Easily the best Sundanese food we had during our 5 years stay in Indonesia. Price was very decent food well worth the cost (we were prepared to even pay more)! Surrounding was beautiful and peaceful as well. Good practice of health protocol, all waiters wore masks and face shield, excellent! Staff was responsive and polite. When a customer sat next to us started smoking, they moved us to a different private area, no questions asked. Overall a must visit if you go to Puncak/Bogor. We’d even say your visit isn’t complete if you don’t try the food in Bumi Aki. Definitely the best restaurant in this area and amongst the top 3 restaurants in Indonesia. We’d give it 6 stars if possible. Should consider opening a branch in Jakarta!

An island of solid and efficient restaurant keeping

It’s on the way back from the Puncak tea plantation that we were looking for a place to eat. Being foreign tourists (from California) we were not eager to try the many little stalls and dives along the road. Bumi Aki Puncak was a revelation. Good menu, leaning heavily to traditional Indonesian dishes. Staff spoke halting but effective English. Facility, looked super clean. Most guests were locals and enjoyed themselves as did we.

Lunch in Bumi Aki Puncak

Super service excellence. Even when I was just arrived n still inside the car, one of the staff already waiting outside my car to welcome us. The foods are very quick to be served and the taste is so delicious. I ordered chicken satay. The chicken was so juicy and full of meats. Things to improve is just the lack of peanut sauce. Everything was so good and satisfying.

Authentic Sundanese with Mountain View

Bumi Aki is very famous in Puncak, west Java. The location taken places at the mountain, surrounded with tea plantation. So it's a little bit cold in here. And for you who like Sundanese cuisine, here's the right place. The place always full, so you better reserved before come in here. Or, you can come here before or long after meal tima.

A mandatory place to visit in Puncak

It’s has always been a must to have lunch here in Bumi Aki Puncak every time we stay around Puncak area. 5-star services with a view. Despite the parking scarcity due to it’s popularity, somehow we still manage to pay a mandatory visit up until today! :) Affordable price amazingly unchanged significantly through the years. Keep up the good work!

This is my second times went to Bumi Aki Puncak with my family. The place is very cozy and never disappointing, very recommended for family, friends and couple. There are mini playground for children. The staff were very helpful and kind. the only minus thing is that the congestion on the road to go there is no kidding. But overall, excellent!

Excellent Sundanese dishes

Although the restaurant was full, our orders were taken and served quite quickly. For the kind of food serve I find them quite pricey and small in size. Quality of food is very good. Like other local Sundanese restaurants they lack of good local desserts...such a pity!
