Probably because they are the pioneer and trully thinking that there will be no competitors now days, well they are wrong. The foods are just okay, for price is fine, for services, they and most of the staffs really needs to be down to earth...more! No sincere smile, no nice gesture of service and can't even say thank you, wow! The staff that was handling me seems like so tired to be bothered, just to ask a simple suggestion from the waitress is a stressfull enough! One time visit is more than enough!More

I have been converted. Well, at long as future duck meals can live up to this one. The food was delicious and the restaurant itself set in such a lovely setting. From the outside the place doesn't look that big, but as you walk through...it you realise that it's way bigger than expected. The service was good and I left thinking that I could eat duck again. Ambience was great, food was so-so. We stayed at Alaya Resort Ubud and this restaurant was v close by, just one block away from Coco supermarket. The surroundings were pretty and came with the ambience. I ordered the sliced duck fried rice, my spouse a...grilled seafood set. And the sate grilled meat appetizer. The dips wee v tasty! I wouldn't say that the food is that great nor cheap.More

We had the bebek special and a chicken dish. Environment is too relaxed. Staff is polite. It is bit costly though, but it is worth a visit.

We really liked the restaurant. We had BBQ chicken wings, Singapore slinger and whiskey, then we had one order of the duck, chicken satay and chicken friend rice. Of all the things we are, we loved the BBQ wings the most… so good… and the...duck was great, now what we were expecting at all except there was very little meat on the bone. The chicken friend rice was made well but the chicken was way over cooked. The drinks were perfect. The best we have had in all of Ubud. We loved the atmosphere and the fact that anyone can come here… single, couples, family and friend, business. It’s that kind of place. Also, the staff was impeccable- our waiter was phenomenal!!!More

The size of the restaurant is huge. Plenty of seats available. Food is acceptable. Travelling from Kuta by car to here took almost 1hour 45mins...

We went to this restaurant for dinner and tried smoked Balinese duck. We made the reservation 24 hours in advance (because I saw in the reviews earlier that it is necessary specifically for this dish). The restaurant is beautiful, we had a separate terrace for...two, so we didn’t even hear the other guests. The duck was delicious, a little bit spicy, and it was more than enough for two, because it was served with rice and vegetables and Balinese saute. The staff is so nice and helpful. Crispy original duck. Great for large groups. Spacious restaurant, very spread out. Outdoors and airy with greenery. Crispy duck dish is 150,000 Rp for 1 person and includes rice (white or fried) and green beans. Touristy place. 5 minute walking distance from monkey forest.

Probably the type of place I wouldn't normally go to. Big restaurant that probably does a fair bit of group tour business (not on our late afternoon dinner). Beautiful setting - reasonable prices - delicious food. Servers were efficient, and meals were brought out in...a reasonable time. Lack interaction with customers - kind of business like. Restaurant adds service charge - perhaps reflects interaction with customers. Bottom line, we had a really good meal in a very nice setting.More

We had eaten at Bebek Bengil way back in 1996 shortly after it opened and remembered both the meal and the ambiance. We are duck fans and despite somewhat mixed reviews were keen to return at last and try it again. We were glad we...did, so much so that we returned for a second lunch a few days later. It’s a duck retaurant so order the duck. Not sure why there is anything else on th menu. My favorite is their original crispy duck but our party of 4 tried various other versions and enjoyed them all. Even the veggies and most of the sauces were flavorful and excellent. Good food, good service, gorgeous setting and a central loction. Why not?More
