About
Located in the remote, peaceful rice fields of northern ubud. Just a 15 minute walk from ubud central you'll stubble upon a new hidden little gem with a heart felt story. The dream is now, the creation of the sweet orange warung has arrived. The warung is surrounded by beautiful rice fields, distant flowing rivers, panoramic views of the volcano with a vegetable garden to supply the kitchen.

Lovely place for a drink and something to eat while soaking up the views. It was an easy walk just off the main road with plenty of photo opportunities along the way. As it was mid morning we all had a taster platter which was delicious and iced tea.

What a discovery. We walked past Sweet Orange one morning on the circular rice field walk from the end of Jalan Kajeng to the museum and stopped for a drink. We were so enamoured of its location we decided to return for lunch the following day. And it was delightful. Fresh, interesting and delicious warung food. Well worth the walk even in the heat of the middle of the day. Plus we were rewarded by a cooling breeze blowing across the rice fields.

I'll be honest that the ambiance is really relaxing, the food has huge servings, and it's delicious. But the path going to the location is very tricky, and the neighborhood's dog attacked us both on our way to and from the warung. My wife almost fell to the ricefields when this annoying dog comes charging towards us. I don't feel safe at all and won't come back. Recommended for great vibe and food, but go there at your risk.

Fabulous warung serving local cuisine that sits in the middle of rice terraces with terrific views. Very picturesque walk to get there - and once there (as walk is hot and steamy), visitors will appreciate a cold drink and/or a delicious lunch. Highly recommended.

A nice warung with many faces on coconut shells. You can rest here and have a drink or eat during the Subak Juwuk Manis Rice Field Walk. The view between the rice fields is very nice and it is close to the center of Ubud. Service is friendly.

I absolutely loved my stay at Sweet Orange. It really was everything I hoped it would be — delicious and wholesome food, warm hospitality, and all the fixtures we could want in a traditional Balinese home away from home, set amidst expansive rice padi fields just a 10 minute walk away from the heart of Ubud. “Off the beaten path” is the best description of that route. It’s imperfect and roughly hewn in places. I’d be wary to tackle it when wet or raining. While that may not be for everyone, To folks like me, that adds to the distinctive and immeasurable charm of the place. And on that path, on a moonless night, if you’re lucky, you might encounter the namesake of many things in the area — fireflies! Many many fireflies! It was positively magical to the city dweller I am. I’ve noticed several reviews talking about how the food was slow to come out, or that service itself was also slow. All I can say is that wasn’t the case for me. I’m clearly a fan. I came here 5 years ago when it was just only a Warung, and the soul and heart of the place is still there. You can’t beat the distinctive combination of wholesomeness, location, and genuine soul that won me over. It’s not for everyone, but for folks like me, this is a place you will be calling a second home for years to come. Thank you Putu and family! Please keep it up :)

At Sweet Orange in Warung, the dining experience was a delightful journey through Indonesian flavors. The Yellow Curry was a perfect balance of rich spices, creating a harmonious blend that danced on my taste buds. The selection of starters was a symphony of textures and tastes, showcasing the chef's expertise. The ambiance at Sweet Orange added to the overall enjoyment, making it a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic Indonesian culinary adventure. The Balinese massage at Sweet Orange was a transcendent experience. The masseuse seemed to possess a magic touch, skillfully navigating through muscle tension with intuitive precision. Every stroke and knead reflected a profound understanding of my body's needs, leaving me in a state of blissful relaxation. It was the perfect conclusion to a memorable evening of indulgence at this gem in Warung.

The Sweet Orange Warang was on our list of places to visit during our stay in Ubud. Our accommodation was on the edge of the Ubud town site and a short stroll from the Kajeng Rice Fields where you will find Sweet Orange Warang. An amazing place to sit back, take in the surroundings and enjoy a morning coffee or a fresh juice or smoothie. A piece of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the Ubud town centre. We returned later in the day to sample the Nasi Goreng and it didn’t disappoint with great flavours and fresh crunchy vegetables. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. While we were there we signed up for a cement paver to improve access for the local farmers and tourists. If you have the opportunity to visit the Sweet Orange Warang you won’t be disappointed.

The staff at Solo villas recommended sweet orange Waruk for lunch and dinner. It’s a short walk from the villa in a beautifully picturesque area. They have free wifi and a wonderful menu with local dishes as well as international dishes. Very pleasant to have a coffee, meal or work from.

Absolutely loved this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delicious breakfast smoothie bowls for about 45000R, excellent expresso coffee and cakes as well as traditional balinese meals and much more. Peaceful setting. But my 100% favourite thing about this place is that they DO NOT sell water in plastic bottles (thank you!!). They sell fresh and clean water in refillable glass jugs. I wish more places would do this.

In the middle of the rice fields, this nice small place offers a wide selection of fresh fruit drinks, freshly cooked dishes with quality ingredients . A must try in your visit in Ubud. I went two days in a raw.

Sweet Orange warung is located in the middle of rice paddies walk. You can really relax in this quiet and serene place. We came for small snack but other food looked and smelled deliciously. Prices were ok.

This place is unforgettable ! 5 star service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Every single dish was delicious and nicely served and we were eating there with my husband every day for 4 days as we stayed in the villa there so we tried so many dishes. Place hidden in the rice fields. Peaceful haven! All staff was great - very friendly with very calm approach. Strongly recommended! Owners and workers in this place are great people! This place is MUST STOP in Ubud.

What a great find! Half way round the Kajeng Rice Field walk we came across Sweet Orange Warung sitting right on the path, surrounded by rice fields. It was the perfect place for a short rest and a cold drink, but they also did hot drinks and a full menu if you needed more. The setting was sublime, the drinks excellent, fast service, and a decent bathroom.

We came across this place by chance while taking a walk among the rice fields. Very characteristic location and dishes at a good price (especially considering the average for Ubud) and very tasty. We also tried the smoothies and they are made with real fruit. Advised.
