Cozy setting on the balcony! Interesting menu, delicious food, comes at a price. Nice people, good service. Several gluten-free and wheat-free meals. Small supermarket on the ground floor, have a look!

Earth Cafe and Market is “a whole life concept” brand of organic, vegan shops and cafes providing for all your healthy food and lifestyle needs. They have a 100% plant-based menu in their cafe upstairs and an organic market selling healthy items downstairs. We had...falafel wraps there for our dinner, before heading back to our accommodation in Ubud. We had a great time there.More
We have been to Bali before last in 2019 and Earth Cafe was great. It’s really gone down hill now which is a big shame. We both wanted pasta the first day we went, and the menu boasts many varieties that you can choose from....We were told there was absolutely no pasta left at all so had to choose something else. We returned the next day in hope of having the pasta this time, and asked the waitress (who was the same one that served us the day before) if they had any and were told yes! Then she returned a few minutes later to inform us that there was in fact still no pasta. Confusing seeing as she was the same waitress who previously discovered that there was no pasta. So I chose the Mexicana Pizza that was advertised as ‘wholemeal pizza base with vegan cashew cheese and jackfruit’ i asked for no jack fruit eg. just a cheese pizza and the photo attached is what I received. A thin pizza base with tomato pasta sauce, absolutely drowned in a tasteless watery white sauce - and piled with black beans?!? It was a soupy mess and totally inedible. The toppings were sliding straight off the base as they were so thin and liquidy. It’s a real shame as the menu has so much potential but they let themselves down.More
there are many vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Ubud but this one stands apart in taste. Everything we ordered was just amazing. The fresh juices were very refreshing.
There are so many great vegetarian and vegan places in Ubud, and I'd hoped this would be one. I didn't expect it could go wrong. Unfortunately I regret my visit, maybe I ordered the wrong food and drinks, but it was tasteless and the hummus...really bad. The tacos disapointing, cold, tasteless cashew cheese which was cold from the fridge, on top of luke warm beans. I didn't get the combination.. the nasi campur was alright, but not great, this I think should really have been served hot, but was also luke warm. I also had Kombucha tea which was not ready for serving I think. Impossible to drink for us, like pure vinegar. And I am used to drinking daily shots if vinegar, as well as I'm used to drinking good kombucha. The waiter said it's supposed to be that way, but I'm pretty sure it's not, I could only manage to drink one little shot mixed in a glass of water, still with stomach ache. I do not like to give bad reviews, but based on my experiences with the food and drinks there I wouldn't recommend it. Perhaps they have better dishes & drinks.More
My family and I have eaten lunch here twice on our holidays. The Mediterranean Platter is absolutely my favourite dish. Large choice of drinks & smoothies which is perfect for cooling down on hot day. My mum did order a coffee though which came out...cold. Also they only have soy or almond milk, no cows milk (just so you know). We love sitting up on the balcony to get a good view of streets and a nice break from walking.More
I must say admit that the competition of vegan food in ubud is tough but if there is one place I can never go wrong knowing their integrity , stainless steal pots, best ingredients , trained by a macrobiotic chef, and food has high nutritional...value . I love this place and feel at home every time i come .More
I had Tofu omellete and sweet potato wedges. Meal was great. I also tried Green Smoothie and Very Berry smoothie. Very nice place in center of Ubud.
We came here once for beverages and had some desserts twice as we caught movies at the all-vegan theater next door, Paradiso. They have vegan mango lassi and it's amazing! Vegan lassi isn't that easy to find. We also had coffee and a couple of...other smoothies. They were nice, not overly sweet. When we were at the movies we tried the brownie with ice cream (I think, it's not on their web menu) the raw apple cobbler and The 3C Crêpe. The chocolate thing was rich and amazing. The crepes were also delicious. The apple cobbler was good if you're feeling a healthier option. Sadly, no pics of dessert because it was dark in there. Another note about Paradiso. It's 75k per movie ticket and that gives you 50k credit towards food. There's plenty on the movie menu that will be less than 50k including most desserts. Only giving 4 stars because we didn't get a full meal there but no complaints about anything we had.More
Easily the worst meal we had during our stay in Bali and the couple next to us agreed. I had the tofu scramble and he has the tofu omelet. Tofu and vegetables were flavorless and soggy, and the “toast” was heated in a microwave. Tea...was served cold. Super overpriced for the quality of food and portion size. We also both got Bali belly!!! There are so many other wonderful vegan restaurants in Ubud, don’t waste a meal here!More
Dear Paige I’m so sorry to read your review and to learn about your experience. I would like to know at what time you were there to address that issue with the staff on schedule at that time . This is totally wrong and I...More
We enjoyed our healthy vegan meals very much here. I had the seitan burger (pictured) and my husband had the Jerusalem wrap. Both were lovely. The kombucha was great too. Thank you!
Not sure what it was, but something I ate here gave me Bali belly. Bummer, too, since the meal was very tasty and my sister ate hers and did not get sick (though she did not eat the same food as me!). Just wanted to...give a warning to any travelers! The fresh fruit is tempting but I’ll be going with fully cooked food from now on.More
I have been so obsessed with Down to Earth for the last few years. Given this, ate here almost every night for dinner anyway last week as the food is healthy, clean and delicious. Reccomend the Mediterranean platter (ask for the bread to be warmed),...the gazpacho (which is made to order) and the shakshuka with vegan eggs. YUMMore
Very extensive menu, including lots of lovely smoothies and main meals. We enjoyed the Seitan Schnitzel and Hola Mexican Tacos. Both very tasty and good value for money.
The well designed menu is very extensive and caters for a variety of tastes and budgets. Many of the items are organic. It's a haven for vegetarians and vegans and the restaurant is just off Jalan Hanuman so easy to get to. In addition to...the upstairs restaurant the health food shop downstairs is a great place to stock up on any tonics, supplements or health items you may need when travelling. The premise also boasts an airy and bright dining room upstairs, with indoor seating or on the verandah overlooking Jl Gotama Selatan. We tried the Mediterranean Platter that comprised ethnic signature dishes. It was beautifully presented and offered a selection of hummus, baba ganush, marinated eggplant, tabouli, Arabic salad and falafel balls along with warm pita bread. We also ordered the seitan schnitzel which was finger licking good! Down To Earth offers a range of soups, salads, wraps and pockets as well as platters and juices. This restaurant should appeal to every type of diner, vegans/vegetarians and veggie-curious!More
