The food of was good but a bit pricey. However, the 2 of the food I intended to order was sold out. Balinese dinner is available every Fri. The chef (Tia) and the staff (Juni) in the Japanese restaurant Kojin were very enthusiastic about their positions.

My spouse and I had already planned to try Kojin when we first booked our stay in Aksari. We ordered Wagyu Tokusen Tenderloin with medium degree of doneness (as suggested by the restaurant), Gyu Tongue, Chawan Mushi, Salmon Fried Rice and Yuzu Custard. We thought that this kind of restaurant would serve small portion of dishes that they wouldn’t make our stomach full. So, we decided to order at least one rice menu. But we were wrong. The portion of the rice was big enough that when I dug my spoon in few rice fell off the bowl. I like how the Wagyu Tokusen Tenderloin presented. It pleased the eye as well as the taste bud. The Gyu Tongue was also nice. Last but not least, the dessert - Yuzu Custard. It might be too sour for some people. But for me, the meringue helped balanced out the sourness. The citrus veil was unique.
As I was afraid that it might be full on the day of my visit, so I made a reservation in advance. They requested a deposit of IDR 300k/pax as they only have 11 seats in front of the teppan. The deposit can’t be refunded. A reschedule is allowed within 7 days, depends on the time slot and seat availability.
Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner experience. My spouse and I were delighted by the great services provided and the food served. Thank you, Mbok Apriyani and Chef Ari!

it is totally a comfortable place, I tried their salmon tepanyaki, it was juicy and tender in the same time, it was a very good job because there was a “fire show” ala tepanyaki but the dish finished perfectly, the blend of the sake makes the skin of the salmon smells really good. I also tried their garlic rice as the side dish which is very recommend as well and also their super yummy cheese cake. Thank you Chef Dewa for a very nice dish and also special thanks to Juni a very friendly waiter yet knowledgeable, thanks for explaining about many things I asked and also thanks for a very warm welcome.

The restaurant locates inside Aksari resort next to the adorable pool where enjoys peaceful vibe with forest view.
We have been there twice, since omakase takes four hours to prepare, we had dinner for a la car te and booked for omakase for lunch on second day.
In a la carte menu, wagyu beef, cod, eel with tofu are must try! Salmon was abit icy when serve, probably needs take around 2 more minutes to reach exact room temperature.
As a rice lover, the salmon fried rice might have slightly more water during cook.
The dessert have only yuzu cheesecake, chocolate cake with ice cream, my friend loves the sour taste from yuzu while I enjoy much the mixture of bitter chocolate and fresh ice cream. So win-win!
The omakase provides 8 dishes as per menu with good value especially both wagyu and angus beef are included along with popular seafood selections.
My favourite are both cawanmushi and petit four. I usually have cawanmushi with sea urchin in Sydney, but of course it would be better with black tobiko.
Petit four comes with gentle pandan leaf smell and fresh coconut taste inside, we enjoyed every second tasting!
However, fire purin chocolate is not my type, as an always half-sugar coffee client, this seems double sugar for me. Just a small suggestion, probably can change the chocolate to decaf flavor for people who cannot take sweet.
Overall 9.5/10, hope the chef could update the menu when I come next time to Bali or let me know if open new restaurant in Sydney:)

This is a top quality Japanese restaurant using top quality ingredients from local and international producers!
Last week we went in to celebrate our anniversary. First I noticed the nice wood counter which reminds me of authentic high end Japanese Ryotei which made my heart jump in good anticipation being back home in Japan.
The chef has French background thus he sophistically integrated authentic Japanese with touch of something I had never tasted before.
Every bite was a surprise in a mouth, the combination of taste which dance in side your mouth was quite impressive and its reminded me of one of the favorite Japanese restaurant in Tokyo that combines French cuisine with Japanese cooking methods and ingredients.
The each dish is art and such an eye candy which presentation of each dish is also beautiful. The staff including the chef were extremely friendly and informative about the cuisine
We will be looking forward for make a reservation for next special occasion :)

Everything from the seating to the attention to customers orders was way off.
We expirence people to be moved from their seat in the bar to other tables as it allegedly where promised away to others and giving to them by mistake - Naturally it caused a lot of steer and negative atmosphere. To top it off we had to ask the waiter about getting water and a menu card 5 times before it got to us.
Food was average and with a terrible service level and management of the restaurant I wouldn’t visited this venue again. Overall disappointed by this visit.

Had a beautiful dinner here last night. We received amazing service from Juni and Septi who were very attentive throughout the whole dinner. The food was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. The serving sizes are on the smaller end and the meal can be on the pricier side depending on what you order.

The restaurant is situated next to the main swimming pool (upper level) and has good ambience. Food is great and priced reasonably, and the staffs are friendly and helpful. You can still see the food being live-cooked by the chef although the sitting position is rather low compared to the cooking deck. Overall, it really is a great Japanese restaurant!

We enjoyed our dinner, the place cozy and staff friendly. We were the only customers at the time. We sat right in front of the teppan while chef Ari cooked and lit up the food. Everything was delicious and presented well - we tried the steak, foie gras, hamachi, salmon, fried rice, and cheesecake.

My friend and I really enjoyed our dinner in Kojin Teppanyaki restaurant in Aksari Resort where we are staying.
Food- We ordered for miso soup which tasted really good - a good starter. Then, for main course, we had steak and chicken teriyaki. The steak is full of flavors, and very chewy. The teriyaki sauce compliments well the steak.
Staff - very friendly and attentive to your needs. They always greet you with a smile. 😊
Overall, our dining experience is amazing. Value for money.

The food here is so good. We shared teriyaki chicken, teriyaki salmon, Wagyu beef, garlic rice, salmon fried rice and prawns with broccoli. Couldn't fault anything. The cocktails were great also and outstanding service. Simply amazing!!

First experience in having Japanese Omakase. Served directly by Chef Putu Wid, we’re brought from not only Japanese, but also to local Indo delicacy and even Mexican (what a mind-blowing way to serve Omakase dishes).
Totally worth it (despite the long journey from Ubud to Kojin) and would expect to come again when visiting Ubud.

What a nice experience by Chef Putu wid
Not only japanese taste but also all over the world.
I like the scallop, wagyu yakitori and kids love the macarrons with chef secret duck brain patte
Lovely serving especially the serving of beef cactus roll crepes and roasted marshmallow which is served with cute mini grill using secang woods which enhaces the flavour.
Nice visit here.

The location in the beautiful Aksari Resort creates a great atmosphere, and the service is unbeatable. The food was excellent, and so were the skills of our chef. We had the Crab Salad and Japanese Mushroom Salad for starters and the Wagyu Tokusen Tenderloin and Salmon Teriyaki for mains.
We love teppanyaki and this restaurant exceeded all our expectations.

If you're looking for an unforgettable teppanyaki experience then you must visit Kojin in Ubud. The service was excellent and the food was surprisingly tasty, we really enjoyed the Sakura set menu which is great value for money as well. Definitely will be back!
