Bebek Bengil (or Dirty Duck) is intended as a humorous name, but it offends many Balinese, who consider that ducks are sacred and clean, and cannot be 'dirty'. This restaurant has an extensive menu of duck dishes and other things. The crispy duck everywhere is usually overdone and has not much taste, so I prefer other recipes for duck. Ask... More

This restaurant was recommended by our driver & was so good that we returned to lunch there again before we left Bali. Everything here is beautiful to look at, the staff are wonderful & the house special of crispy duck is divine. The coconut water is an excellent accompaniment to the duck, by the way. Just go. It's incredible.

Came for a late lunch here with a friend who had been before. Ordered the skewers, banana leaf fish and a dirty duck dish. Food was nice. Lots of flavour just nothing as exciting as I was expecting. The setting however was amazing in the rice paddies and sitting on the cushions made it comfortable and a nice experience. The... More

In a country filled with smiling, welcoming, warm people whose livelihood is tied to the tourism industry, how could his restaurant exist? Granted -- my husband and I were on a private tour of Bali and our dinner was pre booked, but really??? Not a single restaurant employee spoke to us... Not the hostess, not the server... NO ONE. Our... More

I had read reviews on the Dirty Duck Diner and sought it out to eat on our first night in Ubud. So disapointed. Service was ordinary to say the least. There were no smiles and it was like it was an effort to take our order. The food came out quickly but the duck was dry. Sorry but service and... More

We came here seeking duck and it definitely delivered on that front. It's a big big restaurant in a nice setting but seems to be largely targeted at tourists. The food was tasty and well priced but nothing stand out.
