I love Kagemusha. The heart felt ethics behind this Ubud institution mean that everything you eat is made from the freshest and highest quality ingredients with real attention to the impact of those on both the individual and the planet. This is like having your mother cook for you, her attention to detail and desire to do the best for... More

After reading all the great reviews, we really wanted to give it a try. The atmosphere is also enjoyable, very calm, with a view on the garden. The entire structure made of bamboo was also a nice feel. The food was good (as mentioned) however the portions are very small. After an appetizer and a main course meal, we were... More

Never expected to eat nice Japanese food in Ubud (lack of fresh fish and other authentic ingredients) but this was really delicious. Not really the kind of Japanese you'll find in the west but damn good nevertheless. The preparations are well done, especially the meat dishes and the rice. Try the Teryaki don if you're hungry. Reasonable prices and friendly... More

It serves Japanese home cooking. Great selections of menu, and all of them are not too bad. Especially small dishes and grilled fish. This restaurant has moved away from Ubud downtown, need to go by taxi. After days of Western and Balinese, it is worth going for something more light and oriental.

Excellent and authentic Japanese restaurant. Very reasonable prices and quiet ambiance. Their ika piri kara is the best i ve ever had. Among my favorites are their prawn and vegetable tempura, accompanied with a glass of home made brem wine

For local tourist, don't expect a menu where you can get in Sushi tei. This place has its own homey atmosphere where you can enjoy a delicious Wakame Salad, Chicken Karaage, Oyakodon and the other Japanese home cooking menu with your friends in their little garden.

The atmosphere is laid back and very cozy. It felt like I am going to a friend's house to eat. Food taste very good with good price too. Good for family or groups too. Not too noisy and the place is nice if you want to sit for hours talking with friends, eating and having desserts.

Thank Maria F
