Amazing staff and spectacular food ! We were greeted by the most welcoming staff members who assisted us throughout our experience ! We came half hour earlier prior to our booking time to get the full experience. Staff members offered to take photos for us...while we were admiring the breathtaking views from the balcony. From the time we arrived till the time we left, everything was beyond our expectations We had the signature menu and it was delightful ! They were more than happy to substituted courses for me as I’m lactose intolerant. Overall price was around $500-600 AUD for 2 people but I have to admit this is undoubtedly one of my favourite fine dining experiences!More

You could easily walk on by this delightfully relaxed space so make the effort to walk down the short alley and go out the back to a lovely garden peppered by apple trees, some outdoor games, plenty of shade and (da da) an excellent selection...of tapas and a considerably extensive selection of local wines. Recommended: Arancini balls, chicken, tomato salad (exceptional), roti and dukkah and lemon tart - that was two visits worth by the way!More

I had the honor and privilege to take full advantage to my visit to Ubud and spend 8 hours with in the fabulous care of the Aperitif staff. I signed up for the Master Cocktail Class which you get one welcome aperitif and you get...to learn how to make three classic cocktails. (You will need to make a reservation ahead of time and pay a deposit to ensure your spot in the class. The balance you pay after your class.) The Master bartender is very knowledgable and takes you on a tour of the grounds and the greenhouse to pick fresh ingredients which will be used in the cocktails you will be creating your self! The class can accommodate up-to 6, but I was the only one who signed up for the class on that day so I had extra time to learn about the Vice Roy, Aperitif and Ubud. After my class, I had about 1 hour to relax in the balcony while enjoying a much deserved scotch. The staff was very attentive at all time and you were never felt alone, even as a solo traveler. Dinner was a fantastic carnival of courses, each catered to my shellfish allergy, which they made sure to address even before I arrived. I choose the Signature Degustation along with the Wine Pairing menus. All are worth it!!! I had a magnificent time and at the end of my meal I was escorted back to the Aperitif Bar where the staff gathered to sing me "Happy Birthday" as I spent the day with them celebrating my special day!More

So good, I went twice. This will forever be one of the top dining experiences of my life. I did the Signature menu, and went back 4 nights later and took friends - Truly an exceptional experience. The food was sensational - Truly delicious, and...I loved that the food is still simplistic, and doesn't take itself too seriously. The only slight annoyance was that the staff could sometimes be overbearing; At one point, I counted 7 staff who asked me if I was enjoying my plate of one of the courses - and there was ten courses! The second time, I upgraded to the lobster option and wagyu option... And the piece of wagyu was phenomenal to say the least. Absolute melt in the mouth - Dishes I will truly dream of for a long time.More

A remarkably well done throw back to the 1930’s, sets the scene for one of the best degustations I’ve had. Starting with well crafted cocktails in the ‘club’ bar, it wasn’t long before our pallets were satiated by the most mouth watering blends of flavours,...textures and sensory pleasures. I came here, via a Car Grab, on a Thursday in mid-December 2022. There is a security post that you need to pass to get here. It was pretty difficult getting a Grab to pick me up from here so the concierge had to order...a car for me. Their normal driver wasn't available so they called the Visceroy Hotel's driver instead, which was more expensive - 121,000Rp. The food, service, location, and ambiance was excellent. I was the only person who booked lunch with them so the service was as VIP as it gets. I got the best table in the house. I had a view of the beautiful infinity pool of the hotel. I got the 7-cousre meal with the Wagu option - best decision ever! That wagu dish was out of this world. They even came out with four different knife options for the wagu, in all the different colors. In fact the entire meal was quite amazing. The chef came out and checked on me, which was really nice. Their drinks were incredible as well! Every drink I ordered was out of this world good down to the last drop. Definitely worth the trip out here.More

If you’re looking for a 5-star fine dining experience, then this restaurant is one on the list! We were astonished by the menu and how it was made so extra special by the chef. It was truly extra-ordinary, from the plating presentation to the serving...explanation by each of the staff. It was amazing that each of the staff exactly knew to explain the menu before you indulge it. The night is full of gastronomic experience from the main restaurant to the bar. We can’t hardly finish the cascade of selections from our set menu choice. Price of course is something to expect beyond normal.. but trust after all, it is worth the bucks!More
