I loved Indus and had a few meals here inc my Birthday dinner, lunch and a cake date. There is a small gallery as you walk in from the stairs. Once in the restaurant its open with a fabulous view. The staff were attentive (some visits more so than others), friendly although there was a slight language barrier if you... More

“Green duck curry with lychees”… My mind took a detour to Dr. Seuss, eggs and ham, before I regained control of my faculties and realized that the green probably referred to curry. The word “curry” excites for me. I imagine rich spices with subtle herbs, every curry a carnival for the taste buds. Green duck (sic) sounded good, so I... More

We went to Indus, owing to the legendary view which did not disappoint. Also the building is quite lovely and truly Balinese in the best sense. We had seen several very mixed reviews so we went with only reasonable expectations in terms of the meal. Our meal could be described as "good" and the service pleasant and helpful. The staff... Recommended as a place to eat, our expectations were high - restaurant is beautiful old architecture, and setting magnificent. But the food was disappointing - it arrived minutes after ordering and was luke warm at best. Perhaps we should have got the hint with only one other table occupied. Disappointing.

I'm sorry you were disappointed, I will investigate what went wrong on this occasion, and if you are able to come back I would like to offer you two complimentary main courses to prove to you just how good our food normally is. Janet More

We cane by this place accidentaly, hunting for lunch. It is a tad away from the center, but it is definitely worth the extra 10 minutes of travel. We tried several dishes, juices and desserts. Food was delicious and flavorful. I went for a vegan option although I am a sworn carnivore and I was extremely satisfied. The staff is... More

What a beautiful restaurant, with what would have to be the best views in Ubud especially on new Years Eve. Purple sunset sky then fireworks as far as the eye could see. The atmosphere and food were fantastic. Will certainly be returning on my next trip to Ubud.

Had a wonderful New Years Eve at this gorgeous restaurant Indus for 2016. People arrived a little later as they do on New Years Eve but certainly by 8.30pm the seats were full and an atmosphere was created. The staff were gorgeous ,helpful and prompt with their service. Divine cocktails were delivered quickly and with style and the food was... More

I have come to this restaurant many times over the last 15 to 20 years, and every time I appreciated their efforts to provide an imaginative menu with healthy and tasty food reflecting Asian style. Equally the breathtaking view has not lost any of its charm. And also the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. What has suffered... More

Dear Jochen Thanks so much for your review. I will double-check the overall cleanliness although the floors are scrubbed every day. And the toilets will be spic and span again. Unfortunately, the guests using the bathrooms are often questionable in their habits but we will try and keep a closer on eye on this. Best wishes. Janet More
