The location of the cafe is its biggest and only selling point. We went there for drinks at sundown, and found the place to be very expensive. Not only that, the staff isn't attentive at all. We had to wait for 20 minutes before someone got us the menu! My partner ordered a fresh orange juice, but it was anything... More

Was seated by the lotus pond so view was very nice. Ordered a cream based pasta with salmon, surprisingly tasteful despite lacking in sauce. Also had grilled squid, quite a small portion though, taste was average. Cafe is huge; location and view is probably the best bit.

If you are in Ubud, or passing through to The Hills, a stopover here can be recommended . The Cafe Lotus is located on the Main Street, but once inside you have a superb Pond and Temple in the back and you can have excellent Fish dishes or local Balinese Meal , followed by a pot of Bali Coffee, which... Pretty expensive for what it is, £4 for a Bintang is bordering on theft. Waiters hang around pressuring you to order quickly. Would not return.

The lotus pond and the temple at the back of this café is it's only redeeming quality. The food is very bland and way overpriced compared to numerous other great places in Ubud. While choosing our meals our waiter came over with a cardboard menu of the shared seafood buffet and said " I've been told I have to show... More

This cafe look lovely from the outside, but it's the lovely views over the koi pond and Temples that make it a lovely place to eat. Food was lovely to.

3 of us went to Cafe Lotus and were able to catch the local dance performance, which starts at 7:30pm on Saturdays. This place is known for this dance performance. The ticket costs 80k Rupaiyah per head and we got a seat at the third row, which was decent. The dance performance was on Hindu mythology primarily. Now, coming to... More

I paused at Cafe Lotus to enjoy the view of a beautiful Balinese Temple with water lilies growing on ponds. The Lime drink came with lots of ice and liquid sugar so it could be sweetened to taste. A lovely place to get out of the sun and admire the view.

A must visit in Ubud. Ambience is wonderful, esp if you can manage traditional seating , 'cause the view of the stage where there are live performances, is better. Food was good and service quite efficient inspite of the rush.
