Set amongst a beautiful garden and ponds was the highlight. Everything else was woeful... My Nasi Goreng tasted like one of those instant ones. Meals were tiny and overpriced Staff were rude to my children Worse place in Ubud

We went to this place attracted by its view of the Lotus garden. Food looked good on menu, so we walked in. However that's about it for positive side. Staff were standing around talking to each other but ignored guests. We had to call out a few times to get their attention, and when a waiter did arrive at our... More

We were recommended to visit the Lotus Cafe by an expat local. We popped in the day before to book a table with a good view of the traditional dance performance and spoke to the owner who seemed very helpful. When we arrived we were shown to our table and ordered drinks. When the waiter arrived to take our food... More

Very busy restaurant, lovely view of gardens and temple. Really enjoyed a dish of stuffed squid when I went for lunch, but when I returned for dinner it was not so good, very busy. There is a lovely lane beside the cafe that leads onto a rice paddie walk, highly recommended!

We more or less accidentally stepped into that place even though we had read about it before. We were visiting the lotus pond and the temple when we saw the cafe. We sat by the pond and it's nice with a baby who crawls as you can sit on the low tables. Food was good although not exceptionally great. Same... More

Thoroughly enjoyed a delicious lunch in this fantastic location! Right in front of Pura Saraswati and overlooking the Lotus Pond.

The location of the lotus cafe is what makes it that special, it's very central close to Ubud palace and most tables have a beautiful view of the lotus lake and the temple. Food is average, mostly international with Balinese influence. Drinks are not that good.

The place was lovely with Balinese architect and more beautiful from the Lotus along the step way to the stage. The Balinese performance was amazing, the food also great and the staff super friendly. Wish i could come back for the next trip.

We arrived here for lunch and were met with really unfriendly greeting. All staff were very unhappy looking and looked like they had enough. The menu was average. We ended up leaving and not ordering lunch as the service was rude. Think it's just famous for the lotus pond out

Still a wonderful place to go for a coffee or afternoon beer. The lotus pond is beautiful and a fond reminder of what Ubud is really about. We didn’t eat this time but I have a memory of excellent Indonesian food and what I saw being served looked good.

Thank Robert H
