This is serious cooking of a type rarely to be found in this less formal island. Despite that it's served with great aplomb. The lounge is decorated in three styles, French, Javanese and Balinese, the first two being the nationalities of chef Christian and his wife. The table is decorated with a basket filled with local fruits, vegetables and spices,... More

A delightful ourdoor setting, a wee drop of rain never harmed anyone. The cuisine takes fresh local ingredients and works magic. A six course tasting menu, or possibly eight, or surprise menu are the options. No a la Carte. We chose the six courses. Well balanced flavours and a food intolerance, previously intimated was catered for with ease.Because of the... More

We found out about Mozaic through a review posted on the Guardian website. We were looking for a special evening on our last night in Ubud and this truly surpassed all expectations. The food is an interesting concept pairing contemporary European food with traditional local ingredients in a tasting menu environment. As the dishes continued the standard consistently increased. The... More

One of the best restaurants we visited in Bali! Would thoroughly recommend for fine dining. Beautifully presented, amazing food with great wine and cocktails. Great service from knowledgeable waiting staff who explained the various ingredients and methods. Great dining experience with fab service and great food! One not to miss.

Even for fine dinning, this place is overpriced and I can't stay that 6 courses were that 'gastronomique' Although I really like the pork dish and the staff are very friendly.

If you know about your food and have visited some of the top Gastronomy restaurants in Europe - Lyon, Paris, Barcelona, London or Copenhagen, you will be very disappointed, if not, you may like it, but mange your expectations! Gastronomy is the science of good eating, Mosaic has missed the 'good' part. I see the concept - French cuisine using... More

We loved our dinner at Mozaic, part of our honeymoon stay in Ubud. We started with delicious cocktails in the lounge and then moved to a lovely table for two in the garden under a beautiful tree cover. We both had the vegetarian tasting menu and were super happy with both of the amuse buche as well as the six... More

We just had dinner there and it was amazing. I go to a lot of gastronomique restaurants around the world and i can say that Mozaic is in the top 3. All the staff are very professionnal. The manager comes to your table at least 2 times to ask if everything is ok. When we entered the restaurant , the... More

We had an excellent dinner at Mozaic. The chef matched Balinese flavors with french preparation techniques in a very interesting way. They brought out a dish of all the local foods that they were using in that night's tasting menu. When they brought the dish they showed us which local foods were used in it. I loved seeing the whole... More
