Minangkabau cuisine (usually know as Padang, the capital of the province) has long been one of the best in Indonesia. Now many small towns and even some villages in Bali have a restaurant or food stall. An interesting feature is that the recipes and menus are surprisingly similar from place to place, but quality of the cooking varies greatly. As... More

When you sit down to the table the waiter stars bringing out the dishes to sample. You only pay for what you eat and there's a good bit to choose from. It is a little pricier that other places around town, but you'll be able to sample a lot of dishes that you might otherwise pass up. It's a good... More

Loved their ayam gulay, their sapi rendang could have been more tender, but still you won't get any better rendang in the neighbourhood... Oh, and about the price, most tourist restaurants are more expensive. Of course this is padang style, so the food is pre-cooked (cold) and you pay for the plates you touch....

Expensive food selection is you prefer to eat in any restaurants in Bali. Be prepared for an average of usd10 per pax per meal. Price per plate is around usd3 (chicken/meat) and usd1 for veg.

Nasi padang is Minang cuisine. After trying many nasi padang restaurants in Bali over the years, I've concluded that this is the best restaurant in Bali. You pay a premium for the best quality of food but it's really worth it. The uniqueness of nasi padang is that you're served with many items on your table and you pay only... More

I am a Minang cuisine lover. At least once a week I try Minang food. Among minang cuisine I tried so far, this is the best, the most beautiful, and....the most expensive!!! If in other restaurant, orange juice with mixed rice with eggplant, boiled egg and ochicken liver may cost you 25.000, here it is 70.000. But it's worth it... More

If you want to find halal food in Sanur, you can try any minang resto. But if you want to try good minang resto with spicy foods, you can try natrabu in Sanur.
