For some reason this place was in our guide book. Misguided! Such a disappointing meal. The food on offer was not as described in our guide book, and what we ordered was incredibly bland which I thought would be difficult to do in India. When the bill came the guy serving us called out the amount hardly letting us look... More

The place was neat and clean and i visited with family, The briyani they offered was really tasty, And the restaurant is quite and peaceful in a crowdy area. The service was really good and we enjoyed our dinner, Came to know this restaurant ran by a professional hotelier

Don't go there! It's well reviewed on Lonely Planet and the fact that they offer lamb attracted us. But the food is not good! And overpriced if you compare the "meals" you can get anywhere else for 40 ruppies. It seems that the "roasted lamb" was made with intestine. The chicken was over cooked. And guess what? At the end... More

The food was bland and the worst meal we have had during our stay. It was filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned in years. We walked away fearing the worst for our stomachs!

We went to this restaurant because of the listing in Lonely Planet and the food was terrible. It was the worst meal in our 54 day trip around South India. Dried out chicken tikka, which had been fried until it was dried out and almost black, hard as tile. Even the the potato chips were tasteless.

I found almost every restaurant in Madurai on the dirty side and was reluctant to be adventurous with food; however, this was a great spot to eat. The food was delicious and the owner was friendly.
