After a few weeks in Udaipur, we really narrowed it down to a couple places to eat. The streets for morning Poha or Parothas. Grasswood cafe for coffee. Harsh Villas for Korean food. Kesar Palace for Indian food. But when we wanted something different and special, the delicious and healthy fusion at Millets of Mewar was where we went. In... More

After waiting for our food for some considerable time what arrived was luke warm and nothing special. My girlfriends omelette had a hair in it and the female sitting behind the desk seemed more interested about the music playing than anything else. We were refused discount as she had already bitten into the food!?. Very poor service.

80 rupees for a luke warm cup of coffee flavored smelly water, was truly disgusting! The omlette was ok but they charged me 20 rupees more, saying it was for the toast and tax, which was supposed to be included in the price. They claim to be organic, hygiene and healthy, yet a peek to the kitchen in the entrance... More

This is a great place to escape the usual greasy food of Rahjastan. It has a good range of western to Indian cuisine and delicious juices. Sitting right on the waterfront it also has a beautiful view from the top story.

Food is great, it was fascinating to find out about Millet (grain) and all the health benefits that come with it. The Lady who works there was really nice and explained about its history and manufacturing. Pancakes were great, so was their porridge. Lovely view too. Great music.

Description
This restaurant started one year ago and the owners spent years studying the relationship between food, taste, health & the environment. They re-created vegetarian recipes by using alternative grains/millets such as Amaranth, Ragi, etc that are gluten-free & highly nutritious, and made tasty cookies, shakes & desserts that are also vegan. Their delicious salads are washed with filtered water and Indian tacos / chapatti pizzas are quick, tasty snacks. They also offer a full Indian food menu that is organic & tastes incredible. Their juices are made with really fresh vegetables & fruits. The restaurant is situated near the lake with awesome views of the lake, old temple with monkeys & parrots, and of city palace from the 2nd floor. The first floor has mattresses & low-height tables to sit & eat in traditional Indian style. The food is cooked from fresh raw materials so it takes 10-20 min more than usual, and the serving staff communicates which menu item will take long time.
