We had the mango curry and it was delicious. The family are all lovely and very attentive. Definitely worth a visit to try the curries.

Some of the best food I had in Udaipur, with definitely the best price! A very homely atmosphere, some might find too much, but it gives the perfect family atmosfere. Watch out, it's located wrong on the Trip Advisor map! It's on Lake Pinchola Road,...More

The food is refreshing after time away only eating out. Tastes home-cooked, not heavy at all. Meenu's children who help serve are very sweet. However, the hard-sell of cooking classes, culture tours and spices is off-putting. Especially done before meal is served. Shame because food...More

So if you feel a bit overwhelmed by the touristiness of Udaipur, a very cleaned-up/polished version of an Indian city, this is the place to go! This tiny cafe has a homie atmosphere and the family who runs it it´s lovely. The food is excellent,...More

Tiny place inside someone's home, tasty home cooked meals. The stuffed curries are really good. The prices are really cheap. Good chai too.

We got here following a recommendation from the Lonely Planet. We don't know about the cooking class, but we went there for lunch - the family was nice, the prices rather cheap - but the food wasn't good at all, we left most of it...More

Queen Cafe is lauded by Lonely Planet and Rough Guides. But while out meal was nice, it was far from amazing, and the portions a bit small. Still, the prices are very reasonable, the family atmosphere wonderful. Children, parents and grandparents all dote on customers...More

We had a really great meal at Queen Cafe. The stuffed capsicum curry was incredible and the chapattis are the best we have had in India so far. The famous pumpkin curry is delicious too. The family are so friendly and welcoming - the daughter...More

This lovely family runs two places in Udaipur. The older parents run a great restaurant, the daughter Meenu runs a great "off-the-beaten-track" culture tour, a tasty cooking school (check Meenu's Cooking Class on TripAdvisor), hindi or henna lessons. Which she runs around the corner from the restaurant. For the restaurant walk-in for breakfast, lunch, dinner or any great lassi. For Meenu's Cooking school or any other service she offers, when in standing in face of the restaurant. Walk right, take the first left and there will be sign after 100m on the left side. Ring the bell to make an appointment or ask in Queen cafe.
