I went to Desert Boy's Dhani earlier as I spotted a fun Indian Birthday party going on. Ambiance is comfortable with the garden and old tree, but that is as far as it goes. Cost for a thali was an inflated 200 rupees, and the curries were probably the worst I have had in India. Naan was at least cooked... More

Desert Boys Dhani is a a veg restaurant in the main Gadisar Road in Jaisalmer. It serves only typical veg items which are easy to make. Nothing fascinating to mention about. Disappointing after having such good food at our hotel. Pros: 1. Location: Situated in a small lane from the main road - so easily accessible 2. Ambiance: Seating is... More

The food was very ordinary, so was the service. The place was too dimly lit. The overall ambience, though was worth the visit.

went to desert boy's dhani for dinner, we asked suggestion for typical rajasthan dishes and the two courses were extremely good! one was a chickpea flour ball with dry fruit and nuts in a rich gravy, and the other was a kind of small peas. during the dinner there was a group playing traditional music, very noce atmosphere in their... People have told us that the food there used to be better, but as this was our first time we have no comparison to make. The food was good however, certainly nothing to complain about. The real draw is the ambiance - this place is magical. Set in a small garden with tables surrounding a raised stage at the front.... More

interior and location is good. cultural programme is nice in between. but staff is not much friendly. we ordered kair-saangri, which we had, was tasteless (not proper rajasthani). asking them, they replied that some other party is going on here, so whatever we had prepared(even without garlic), serving you. this attitude was not expected (even they didnt have pos machine(... This place offered a traditional Rajasthani folk show during dinner daily (8-10pm) and it was really awesome! The food was really good! Pricing was a little more than listed on lonely planet, but worth it. We got there at 8pm, but it quickly filled up later on around 8:30/8:45 for the show. Would recommend this for a nice evening out... More
