This used to be the best restaurant in Calicut for Authentic Kozhikoden maaplay. It makes me sad to talk nostalgic of the place. Now the menu is the same, but the quality of food is nothing to recommend. The service is also a detached affair with outstation employees who dont understand Malayalam or English.

The food that makes anyone fell in love with Biriyani and the delicate variety of traditional Malabar dishes. You just can't beat the taste of Zainuthathas Biriyani.

In a city like calicut where you get mouth watering delicacies around every corner, creating a niche for yourselves wd be a tough job and dats what Zains have done over the years catering exquisite mapila food. The place is an old house turned eatery, then that's where all the charm is. It sure makes you feel vintage. The food... More

The best thing is the spread and quality of snacks you could get here. But the spread is not assured as huge rush could deplete the stocks of the hot favourites too quickly! You will get all varieties of mappila snacks here. The biriyani and other main course are good but the snacks just overshadow them. Ambience is average and... More

This restuarant is one of its kind in calicut where you get special malabar dishes.. They have got a variety of mappila dishes, which you may not get in other places. The two issues i found here is lack of ambience, and there is noone to guide you and tell you abt the ingredients in the dishes which are not... More

I was rushing to this hotel from beach keeping in mind the unforgettable taste of biriyani, unnakka and kalummakka fry but I was terribly upset when I entered the hotel after a long gap of 5 years. I drove all the way from kochi to calicut keeping the unleashed memories Zains yummy food but the food turned out to be... More

They serve very much local flavored food specially made in calicut. The food is very tasty, and seems to use mostly local ingredients.

Visiting Kozhikode and want to eat lip smacking malabari delicacies and authentic main courses- visit Zains but beware of the rush for lunch - excellent food, good service and only issue is the narrow roads leading to the hotel - you will enjoy the food for sure
