I have been visiting this restaurant since the past 7-8 years now. Initially it had forty covers & hence the name "Alibaba" as in Alibaba & the 40 thieves. The ambiance is not spectacular, but it has been designed to given the feeling of being inside Alibaba's cave with all it's treasures. But what I really like about this restaurant... More

The route upstairs is bit shoddy, lighting is dim and furniture not so cosy, but food as such is quite tasty. We tried out pita bread with hummus and some exotic biriyani made out of vermicilli- both quite savory.

All foodies are on a quest to find that hidden gem no one as heard of, this was it for us. I read a review about this place in a Facebook group and as we were in the area decided to try it for lunch. The entry is off putting and the place at 1st seems a little drab, however... More

I was here on 13th October 2015 for dinner around 20:00 Hrs. The place was deserted except for a couple. The restaurant itself is dark and I felt it needed more lighting, maybe my taste in lighting is different. The furniture is ok. The sitting is not that cozy as the chairs are heavy and difficult to move when you... More

I have been going to Frazer town for many years and seldom did i notice this restaurant. But this time, during the initial days of Ramzan, the streets were not that promising, so i ventured to try this one. The place has an old charm and the service is really slow compared to all the other places i seen. This... More

We went to Alibaba Cafe for dinner on a busy Saturday night during Ramzan. The MM Road was soo full with people that there was absolutely no place to walk. It was difficult to get car parking anywhere around the mosque area. Anyways, Alibaba may have many tasty dishes, we couldn't try them all. But whatever we tried was really... More
