Sagar Ratna used to be a great restaurant specially for vegetarians. During my recent visit, I found it to be just average. Decor seems to be outdated, dull interiors seems very unwelcoming. Service was just average, food quality was okay but serving size was small.
Sagar Ratna lives up to its name of fast and efficient service. The masala Dosa came exactly as ordered - with potatoes on the side and a nice crispy dosa. The utthapam was made well and the filter coffee was worth the visit. The dahi...More

I believe Sagar Ratna still enjoys the hangover of old time reputation. I have tried my best to find reasons why is this is popular franchise, but i could not find any justified reason. It has below average ambiance, average food and below average service.
Place for Good South Indian food in Gurgaon. Few I have been to Sagar Ratna in Galleria mall as well as the one near Crown Plaza several times. Well maintained place, ideal for large gathering. Very Decent Service. Good food at an affordable price.
This particular branch of Sagar Ratna is not as gud as others. Its dingy, smelly and unhygienic. The ambiance is bland. The food does not even taste 50% of what it tastes others outlets. Sambhar tasted pretty bad and the service is also slack. will...More

the south India cuisine is amazing. Indian and Chinese is also good. our all time favorite is paneer chilli. courteous staff. don't forget to order paan after the meal.
Can only say it's a change of taste for passable south indian. Not authentic but however gives you a flavour. Best test is that of the taste of sambhar - which falls miserably. However, dosa, idli is passable and can be had for a change.
