well, if you want an authentic elevated - aka roof top - lucullic experience, you are in for a treat. in a dry state, what you can save on alcohol you may spend on a great meal. ;-)

Agashiye means on the roof. Thier dining on the top of old heritage house (haveli) is nice concept. But in the name of hygienic recipe, they charge very heavily. Perhaps costly gùjarati thali in ahmedabad.

The only heritage hotel in Ahmedabad situated in east AHM. Roof top dinner is always a great idea to have with. Ambiance is too good. There is also a candle light dinner facility for couple who wish to. Food quality and service standard are good. Cleanliness is maintained.

Awesome place for dinner. Can have a look at some imp paintings & photographs at ground level. Architecture is good. Some history of Ahmedabad is displayed. Food is off course delicious. Decent place.

I had a couple of visitors from abroad and took them to dinner at this iconic place, as I thought this would give them an authentic gujarati food as well as the ambience of a great restaurant. As is their reputation, the food and service were excellent to say the least. Right from the starters to dinner, non-stop serving of... More

Location: exactly opposite to Sidi Saiyad mosque - one of the heritage sites of Ahmadabad. Middle of the city. Parking: valet parking is available Decor: roof top with old haveli (old heritage home) type. One can't feel outside temperature. I visited when temperatures were 40 centigrade outside; roof top temperature maintain 22. Great Ambience Cuisine: Authentic Gujarati

One doesn't really go to Agashiye for the food only :) Yes, the food is good, but it is the amazing experience of dining on the rooftop of a meticulously maintained restored haveli that really pulls us in! We picked the most expensive option - the deluxe thali, and there was a lot to eat. But again, the magic is... More

This is one of the oldest and very premium Gujarati restaurants of Ahmadabad. you will get traditional Gujarati food. However it is too costly. One Thali (Plate) starts form Rs.1100 per person. Not value for money.

This place will give you tons of food and encourage you to eat more. Gujarati food is absolutely delicious and they give you such a dizzying variety. It is priced a bit high, but it is probably the best service in the city. So that is what you are paying for: Best food, best quantity, best service, nice ambiance.

Thank Al I

'Agashiye' in Gujarati means on the terrace. This beautiful restaurant is spread over two huge terraces are inter-connected by a smaller one that houses a small wooden cottage. At Agashiye, the food is freshly prepared, a lot of it in the terrace kitchen where you can see it. Our attempt is to retain the distinct flavours of the ingredients and we use both spices and oil sparingly. The menu at Agashiye changes daily and varies seasonally too, so an item that you particularly liked during a previous visit may not be there on the menu. Though we hope you'd find another favourite! The staff at Agashiye comprises mostly of men from neighboring villages. During dinner, they will guide you to the waiting area where you will be served juice and starters. You will be informed when your table is ready. During lunch, you are seated at your table right away. The food is served in a kansa thali immediately on being seated at the table. The meal starts with a choice of Indian breads and ends with rice. Servings are unlimited. The staff has been instructed not to constantly hover around you and yet be attentive. In case you have a specific requirement, a supervisor will be there to assist you. Please don't be surprised if you are served a non-Gujarati dish or hear non-Indian music at Agashiye. It is neither an ethnic nor a theme restaurant. It is meant to be a dining experience in a contemporary Gujarati home.Agashiye can be booked for parties of up to 400 people with a buffet setting.
