We heard of this place when the IndiGo staff announced as a must-visit when the plane touched ground at Ahmedabad airport. We made a note, and found time to visit this time around. We were looking for authentic local food and you do get that here. To add to that is the village theme that this place has incorporated beautifully.... More

vishalla is like those village themed restaurants. it is in the open and has a complete village feel to it. they have puppet shows and some folk dance there too. the food is all gujarati thali, and it is absolutely amazing. while i am not a big fan of gujarati food, i make an exception for vishalla's food. take about... Vishalla hotel is one of the kind in entire India. To start with, as you enter you see world of difference from the entrance that is they Highway of Ahmedabad which is so crowded and polluted. The first step you take inside Vishalla takes you to a world of green jungle lit with Kerosene lamps in the evening, a blessing... More

This is a nice place, on similar lines as Chokhi dhaani. The Ambience is darker though. Folk dance, music, activities, some bit here n there. Guess people will see Declining marginal utility. Food is alright. The lahsun chutney is very good. The service is a little different in the group. The staff is nice and courteous.

A nice set up of village rustic surroundings complimented with equally lip smacking Gujaarti food. A must for every tourist. bad for a rainy day.

It's off a busy main road, but as you wander down the candlelit entrance path you notice the road noise dropping off suddenly, leaving you in a tranquil open area. There were some acts going on on a large stage area, accompanied by live music. A nice way to set the mood. We were sat down cross-legged at a low... More

If you want to taste good Gujarati dinner, this is one of the best place in Ahmedabd. Ambient atmosphere accompanied by good service and you may go to olden days of sitting on the floor and eating food served on leaves. Personal care for each table. Unlimited food with 15 dishes for each person and 10 common dishes such as... More
